Painted Rims

yeah, thats the bad thing, the rims have a gloss finish. u guys just use engine enamel, like out of a spray can?

When i did a set YEEEEARS ago i used a high heat paint from a spary can. Talk to Venomous though he seems to know his sh!t when it comes to painting

& if it makes a difference......

some Viper Truck wheels are "clear coated" & some are not.

my black one was uncoated. simple to 2000+ the nicks & look good. tried that on Red & looked worse than if i had left it alone

Love all the info, Heres something either Genius or Stupid depending on how you stand.

My boy painted the entire body of his Ninja YZF-14 with black bed linner. Its not gloss black but he has dropped it a few times and you can not even tell because thats what its made for. Doesnt look half bad either.

Think you could also do that to rims? It will add a small amount of weight but theoretically, you should never have scuffs/chips again.

I have seen a few bikes/jeeps/trucks done like that. I actually did my whole stealth in undercoat. (like bedliner but more of a rubber texture) I like the extremely flat look it gave to it. Not sure how I would like it on rims though....but it would be a great way to prevent rock chips and such.
