Passenger Side Front Pillar

I had a friend who in a panic mode reached up and grabbed the "chicken handle" on the right side pillar and pulled it loose. Anyone know how to get it back in place? The dealer said it has to be replaced with a new one, but someone has to know how to get it back in place.

Last time he rides in my truck and says, let's see what this piece of S%^T can do.
 
Get a new pillar from stinker and add some quages ---that way the buddy won't have anything to grab and pull off ;)
 
ooops ---must be a little brain dead ---can't seem to get my left and rights on the same page today ---hell check with stinker anyway hahaha

but it jsut clips in with small clips and like brad said at the top you will see a small cover in the grab handle, pop it off and you will see a bolt tht holds it firmly on.
 
How the hell did he do that? Is he heavy set or something?!?
It's held on by 2 bolts (under those little cover caps) and wedges into position.

Your friend should learn to be more careful. The grab handles are an aid, not a lift to put all weight on to get in.

So, if it's held in with clips, shouldn't it just "snap" back into place? Or does the bolt screw into the clips?
 
The idea is to accelerate hard enough that he can't grab the handle!! :burnout: :burnout: :D :p

Have you looked at it? I had my drivers side off and it obvious how the bolts go. If they bolts came through the plastic maybe a bigger head screw or some washer will work depending if it can fit into the hole. :dontknow:
 
Haven't taken it all the way off yet, that's a tomorrow thing, but if the bolt pulled through, see if I can glass it to repair it, otherwise, a new one is only $51.00 so it's not that bad.

Needless to say, we all know who is not getting within 10 feet of my truck again. I'll beat him with a pipe!
 
It appears that the handle did its job.
Its called an (OH SH$T) handle
The passenger grabs it,rips it off and you you say OH SH$T,you owe me 50 bucks!!!!:D
I'm sure the look on his face was worth it:dontknow:
