PERFORMANCE MODIFICTION QUESTIONS ANSWERED HERE

Under a normal cruising mph, say 70 mph it should move around as the computer will try to acheive perfect ratio of 14.7.1, so it may fluctuate from 13-15

what you need to look for is under full throttle pull, and 12.5 is jsut about right on the money for N/A motors sir

and thanks for bringing this thread back alive:rock:

well with the 4.10's you're gonna get better fuel mileage, but with the 4.56 better acceleration, and with the 4.10's you can run a shorter tire without affecting the ratio near as much.

I was thinking better mpg and maybe better launches with less wheel spin ?

I sorta miss revving her up through the 4.10's

I have to shift at 20mph in first now

OK so my eyes hurt cause i read all 27 pages without blinking, Really good info so far..Couple of questions..Had my truck for about 3 months so far 05 RC(red cause its faster), I want to pick up a CAI K&N or Mopar, Magnaflows, no cat mids, and not sure on what headers just yet, and i guess the SCT.. 1st does that sound like a decent combo? 2nd whats the main difference between the SCT and the VEC3? which would be the easier one to tune with? and last question whats the 170 T stat for?? and should it be thrown in as well? Any help is great guys thanks..

Most here will agree that a CAI is more for bling and noise on these trucks. A K&N drop in will yield more of a power gain. Catles mids and an exhaust would be next for you, headers are optional, but need to be considered when you get your mids, as they will differ depending on your header choice if any. The SCT is simple to use, plug and play, the VEC is more tunable, but requires splicing into the factory ECM harness. As far as the 170 t-stat, it works in conjunction with your tuning device to keep the motor running a little cooler.
Look in my sig, I gots it all so I'm not knocking any products.
Find a vendor you trust and let them guide you.

engine change?, you shouldnt loose more than a pint?:dontknow:

So $80 worth is excessive? They said some was used to refill the converter but no tranny work actually done.

Roe

When running the Roe supercharger , does all the air route through the supercharger all the time or is there a bypass to allow vacuum?

Is there a air temp. sensor at the discharge side of the supercharger just before it goes into the cylinders?

How do the 04's adjust timing? is it all software or is there a knock sensor?

I'am going to wait untill he stops blowing up engines to ask any questions:rock:  :p :D

there is no blow off valve, the air temp sensor is on the intake side, and 04's dont have a knock senssor

tranny lock? Any problems with this on our trucks.
Also, has anyone used exhaust flaps instead of removing pipes before racing?
