Pick a gear for your RC SRT10

You guys seemed so thrilled on my last gear post, lets just do a poll (I didnt see one yet). Which gear would you run

I love my 4.10s and drove several trucks with 4.56s and liked them but I prefer the 4.10s because it still goes like hell and gets 18mpg on the highway if you can keep your foot out of it.

My truck will annihilate the tires at any point in 1st gear and even into 2nd gearso I really see no advantages to lower gears with street tires. How slow do you drive that you don't use 6th gear? I normally hit 6th by the time I'm running 60:dontknow:

Nope. Some of the original members really did install them, too.

My truck is my daily. I shift into 6th at 45MPH.

It's been so long since I drove my truck I couldn't remember exactly how soon you can get into 6th without lugging the engine but I did know for sure I could do 60....maybe by the end of the weekend ill be able to play with my truck again

I don't know what gears I'm running (stock '06 RC) but if I'm in 6th at 60mph, I'm barely at 1500 rpm.

I'm running 1250 with 4.10's

04 srt10 came with a 410 gear stock
05 and up came with a 456 gear stock

I can barely grab 6th gear at 70 mph otherwise rpms are too low. ( I have an 04 with 410 gear now)

6th gear is for cruising,It is like an overdrive. That is what gets your 18-20 miles per gallon.

Interesting. I have 4:10's and I have no problem using 6th from 40 MPH on up.

No Ive never had my truck on the dyno. not yet
