If you can make a trip out of it drive it <you'll have the extra$$> Isn't Gary out there somewhere... heck may as well have him put on some corsa pipes or somethin :)

nice car... good luck

IMO, If you could do the drive in one day, then I'd say drive it home.

But 1,800 miles? I say ship it and get it home safe. Then learn how to handle the power you already have - on roads you are familiar with - before you make it even faster.

Trafffic jams, accidents, detours, construction, chitty potholed roads, etc... F That! Get that car home safe. It's too purdy to screw up!

Congrats Dude - Yer gonna love it!!!

Saw your post over on the VCA - Congrats!!!! See, I saved the B/W for you just as you asked..... :D

My opinion - drive it home! I drove mine home 950 miles when I bought it in June. I'm not sure what you are using to figure out your cost to go get it, but it cost me about $750 total in gas, hotel room, and plane ticket to drive mine back. I did it to see the country and enjoy my new car!

Congrats again! B/W's are sharp!!!

Ship It

LOL...I doubt those would be "easy" miles.:D

I know shipping is better for the car, but $1700-$1800 could = more power!:dontknow:

Why chance it,ship it its safer, and wear, tear , gas & milage=deprecation got to work out about the same as shiping.cool new toy congrats.

DRIVE! As far as taking chances and evaluating risks go, an accident could happen the first day it gets home. HOME does not necessarily equal SAFE. I wouldn't mind experiencing new roads and areas in my new car.

IF it were a CE, VCA, YF, or one of the "limited" ones I would ship it... or if your putting it away to leave it unmolested... ship it.

If your going to have fun with it (Mod's.. ect) may as well get the feel for it, and enjoy a road trip doing it.
I spent a year and a half conserving miles... then I said screw it...Twinscrew that is...LOL. I'm driving it. Go get your truck, and enjoy the ride home.
Either way...congrat's on the 10:rock:

Thanks!:D

I am going to fly up with a friend for $200, one night in a hotel $100, about $400 for gas and another $100 for food and stuff. Or $2200 to ship it! I keep going back and forth. Maybe I will drive it half way and ship it the rest! Just worried about bad weather and road debris:dontknow:
And I will be going for a TT system in a few years. This is a dream I had since the car came out!

So is this your "other" addition your wanting to bring to the show?
Should have it just in time! Got the money this week, just waiting for some "checks to clear". I am so excited, trying not to jinx myself:D

Let me know when you need help with the garage lights, I owe ya!

The 6mm lens in the video is cute.
For about 10 seconds.
Then I begin asking, "Where's Jules Jordan and the hotties?"

Next, where the hell is "1800 miles from Chicago"? Unless you're doing laps somewhere, that would put you in either the Atlantic or the Pacific.

Yeah. With all the coin you save, you can get an oil filler cap! LOL
If you thought gear for our trucks was pricey, just wait.... :)

My vote: Drive it like you stole it.
