Hey guys, I'm new around here. Always been a Ford guy, but the SRT-10's pull is too strong, haha. I have the opportunity to buy an 06 RC with only 16k miles, and just had a few questions before I pull the trigger. I'm sure this is like hearing a broken record, but bear with me!

-This truck will be a DD essentially, so what are some problem areas I need to address if any?
-What kind of mileage are you RC guys getting? I understand mileage should not be a concern, I'm just curious. I currently drive a 600rwhp '04 Cobra, so I know about bad mpg.

Any other info I should know about them before I drive 500 miles to pick this one up? Thanks in advance, guys.

You are gonna love it. I have had absolutely no problems with my truck that were not caused by me. 57,000 miles and still running strong.

Welcome and with the 06 you should be fine as long as it wasnt abused..... can you post a link to the vehicle......maybe someone here knows it! or its close to someone here on the forums and they could check it out for you before u make the drive! People are cool like that here ;)

This biggest potential problem will be when launching hard and running it up all the way through 4th gear, you will notice a red flashing light. It will slowly get closer and closer to you as you slow down. Then, once you stop to figure out what it is, an official-looking person will get out and come up to your window and hand you a little piece of paper that will cost you a bunch of money.

Expensive to mod...other than that you will love it....expect 11-14mpg city and 15-19 hwy.....just depends on how hard you pedal it..;)

I wish I got those #'s. And I am easy. I get about 9-12 most of the time. But then again, south FL is like city miles all the time.

Most of my driving is city...usually 14-15....I got as high as 19.6 on a trip to Nashville 3 yrs ago....drove 65-70MPH.......I would think a lack of hills would help you in FL but maybe the traffic is heavier..:dontknow:

:congrats: :congrats: :congrats: hahaha!

No major issues with my 06. I did have a problem with a long repair at a dealership. It was more an issue with them than the truck. Get to know Stinker and Justin. They are great vendor's here on VTCOA.:) :)

Mines says I'm getting 26.2..;) .........seems tuning does something to the MPG calc..:dontknow: ..I checked mine the old fashion way...:)
Yeah, once the larger injectors went in and it was retuned, i get like 24 mpg on the overhead display. :D I wish I got half of that.

Hey I bleed some Ford blue, too... and can tell you that you will love this truck.

I had an '05 QC for a couple of years, and recently sold it and purchased an RC. If not abused, you will get a lot of service out of the vehicle.

Gas mileage for me is about what others describe... 11-13 city, upwards of 18mpg on the highway.
