I think this is the best video I have.

Unfortunately, I can't make either of those work. Make sure to grab some in cab footage when you get your new truck :D

I used that one and you shift 8.7 times slower than the next guy I analyzed. You don't even want to know how your times compare with Trainman's. :dontknow:

I kid, I kid! :D

I can't do this yet because I left the cord I need at home.

You almost had me. But the numbers will probably be pretty close to that.

You should see me now, I just installed the new JTS Venom Gen II shifter, and it is really a short throw! That old shifting video was on a country road, back in 2006 with a Gen IV Xmetal shifter.

Feels about the same, just shorter throw. On the Gen I I measured the throw from 1st to 2nd, center of the shift knob to center of shift knob , throw was 4". On the Gen II the measurement is 3"

I was just curious. I just went from the B&M to the gen 1 Venom shifter. Havent put maybe more than 20 miles on it. Looks i will keep the gen 1 until i redo my interior. Thanks.

I just walked in the door from work and realized I left my laptop sitting on my desk at the office. I'll take my audio cord with me tomorrow and measure shift times then.

Below are the results:

Andy, you average .366 seconds per shift.

Scott, you need to mount your camera in a place it doesn't rattle, or record rattles. Also, your highway runs sound like they were done with the windows down. Lastly, your exhaust "drones" a lot more than the other trucks I analyzed. Basically, it took forever for me to gather good data for your truck. You average .281 seconds per shift.

Jerry, you need to try harder. You only average .18 seconds per shift.

Dan, you have averaged 0.0 seconds per shift since 6/23/12. I suggest you buy another truck so you can try again.

Yours truly averaged .258 seconds per shift. I picked up a full .1 by lifting the center console.

I've got some more interesting things that I learned from the exercise, but I need to get some real work done. I'll post more later.

Nice analysis bro! YES RAISE YOUR CENTER CONSOLE DURING RACING!!!!!!
Jerry Rocks and I can say because I've seen it in person many times, that Justin - ARRESTMERED04 can hang with the Trainman for sure. I know his are faster than mine and I bark fourth in a Quad Cab:burnout:
