Power Steering Line.....

Good day out mate
Yes it was. And in a month or so, I'll be able to move back into the place i was renting last year when Hurricane Debby put 3 feet of water inside the home. The landlord is trying to get the restoration done. Been living in a motel since mid August last year, and financially it's killing me.

Update: I got a call from Tony this past Friday, he received a batch of hoses from his supplier. Gave me a call while I was at Carmax, buying a 2023 Dodge Hornet GT+. Paid for the hoses, and he put them in the mail. Should be at the post office by now, will check Friday on my day off. Hit two home runs Friday, new car, new hoses. Oh, and the Hornet is a little speed demon, 4 cylinder turbo, 268 hp.
:p
Nice ,,, fix it time

Put new PS pump on. All good for about 30 min then the serp belt shredded on way back from test run/fly. Was doing 130 before re-entry to town, belt shredded at low revs and 30mph. Having one of those days. Everything is just............ So I checked it all out and thought I wonder if the pulley is bigger. There ya have it. 3/8" 10mm in the modern world larger pulley. That explains why it was harder to get the belt on. The only thing I didn't measure too. Theiving bastards want between $130 and $220. Found a clearance sale $5. Originally was 7PK1735, then with smaller crank pulley was 7pk1715, so now with bigger PS pulley I am going back to original size. That may make the steering a little less keen. Quite twitchy and turns in way to much, too sudden.
Another thing I noticed was the delivery hole from the pump is a lot smaller on the new one than the old one. There is a pic of old pump with part#05290011AC

Glad nothing went kaboom!

Well it turns out the pump is same as Jeep except Jeep uses 6PK where the SRT10 uses 7PK Belt
Takes a keen eye to see that difference in the daylight, little chance in the dark garage. Really annoying that the parts people have same part# on both parts when they should not. More frustration, more downtime, if I want a refund I have to return it to Rockauto at my expense. In the original box with all the packing and documents blah blah blah. I really wanted the new pulley as mine has battle scars. Still I may make some changes to the piping etc. Or sell the new pump to a Jeep owner

Probably less frustrating and less expensive than returning it! Crock o crap I say

Rock auto is a pain in the ask ,, nothing but a middleman drop shippers .. If the part isnt right they should pay all expenses ..

This is how you sort out power steer line issues. All reuseable fittings, just change out the hose next time. All done at local hydraulic shop. So don't ask for a Mopar part# or the kit. They just made it to fit.
