Does anyone have problems with their factory 6 disc player? If I put 6 discs into the system it gives me a "error message" if I try to change to another disc. It usually happens with CD 2 & CD 3. I took those discs out and tried others, but does the same thing. So, I don't use CD 2 & CD 3. Does anyone know what's wrong with it b/ I take to dealer. Honestly, I hate to even fool with mechanics b/c sometimes they have an absentminded tendency to be so sexist. I have the Dodge Maximum Care warranty on my truck so it's covered under it but I don't want to go running to use it as soon as something small happens, either. So anyone with any suggestions?

THANKS!

alot of us don't care for the factory stereos because some have had simular issues.... me, i like my rbq even though it sometimes doesn't play disk #6 very well..... :)

I dont know about dodge factory 6 disk changers but we use to always have them in the ford trucks at work and they always jammed and would never work right . But if you have the warranty i would use it that radio will prob be alot at the dealer .. My 06 has that 6 disk changer and when i saw it i was like oh god i gotta buy new radio cause those in dash changers always seem to get jammed i guess to many bumps in the road.. Good luck with that though

Whenever mine does that sort of thing, I just run one of those CD lens cleaning discs and it is good again for months.
