we flipped her over and cut the rotten metal out. Then started sturdying up the body. Of course those who have met my dad know he has taken over and instead of using the jeep frame, he is building a one-off. Pretty quick too. Should have a rearend mocked up in a few days. Cutting about 2 inches off the bottom of the body and prolly 4 or 5 in out of the top.

Yeah we are enjoying it. He has a lot of building knowledge and it is a blast to learn some of it. Maybe one day I'll have a boy to pass it on to. I just think having a car body that is over 80 years old is priceless!

Built most of the frame and cut some more fat off the bottom of the body.

how are you going to get the transmission to fit with the ladder frame and how low it is? are you going to move the frame brace up right behind the engien?
The rearend loops look good, that thing is going to be way low. whatcha got for an engine?
keep me posted I want to build one to!

I am leaving the frame building up to my dad for I have no clue. I cut 2 inches off the bottom and 4 or 5 inches out of the top so it will be pretty damn low. I have a 350 and a 327. I haven't decided which one to use.

Thanks for sharing. I look forward to watching this come to life.
As for the engine, no replacement for displacement.

UPDATE

Found and pulled a GM rearend at the junkyard and now dad is mocking it up for the airbags.....

...and I found a BIG BLOCK!
