i swear to god im gonna end up in a nut house. he was being stupid. he just bought a 95 acura integra gsr. well hes been driving like i idiot since he bought it. tonight he left dunkin donuts about 2 miles behind me. we got onto a back road where we live. he thought he was gonna show off for me or something and be a hot shot. well he was 1/2 a mile behind me on a 2 mile straight. he floored it to pass me by the end. well instead of backing off before the slight left he teried to pass me then hold it. i was doing about 50 and he passed me like i was standing still. i watched him coming and ran off the road a couple feet to give him room. there was nothing else i could do. his rear end went to the right slightly, he started to correct and thought he did i guess. just before he was straight he straightened the wheel. it shot him to the left, then he must have paniced and he cut the wheel HARD right. the rear went to the left. then he went sideways into a pole. it hit in the middle of the front left tire, so hard i saw the carscomplete undercarrige. it then did a single 360 on its driver side. when it came to rest, it fell on its wheels again. i jumped from the truck before the car stopped moving. i ran up and ripped the door open. i didnt dare move him. he was concious, but he couldnt speak. i asked if he was ok and all he could do was look at me. i held his head up cause i didnt want him to go unconcious. i kept talking to him telling him to hold on. the peopel in the house called the police as they were running outside. i just sat there holding him. after about 3 minutes his eyes rolled back in his head. i cant believe hes gona. i grew up with this kid. i dont know what would make him do something so stupid. i mean, i just told him i wouldnt race him 5 minutes earlier. hes wanted to race me since the day he got his car. did he do it cause of the truck??? im so freaked out right now. i know there was nothing i could do. i will say this thou. everyone should read this and learn from it. i know i have

I am soooooooooooo sorry to hear this Stanimal. YOU DID THE RIGHT THING! I pray for your childhood friend and may he have a safe passage to the other side. I know what It's like to loose close friends to BULLSHIT. I am HAPPY that you did not race him and end up like that too. After Whitesnake's threads I have toned it down a lot. With this unfortunate accident I will tone it down even more. This is the second story like this for me in a week. My friends uncle (R.I.P.) got ran over by a car last week to some street racers in Los Angeles. If you need to talk PM me.

Damn Stan..what a terrible thing you are going through...I am very sorry for your loss and I hope in time you find peace in this. Please don't blame yourself, there were allot of variables that were out of your control. Its very unfortunate you had to witness such a tragedy. My sincerest condolences my friend. I am so sorry dude. You did the right thing by not racing him.......thank God you did not.....

Life is so precious.....I hope you find peace with this event sooner than later.....I cannot imagine how difficult it is for you right now.

Stanimal.... I am so sorry that you had to encounter an incident like this, with your friend at the wheel.

I don't know what to say, as I know there is nothing I can say or do to make the pain go away.

Don't blame yourself for this. There was nothing you could have done in this situation.

Wow, what can one say that hasnt already been said. I cant even imagine what your going through. My thoughts are with you and your as well as his families.

I think ALL OF US on this forum can learn from what happened. The place to race is the track.

Yes Stan, there isn't much more to add here, except you can't blame yourself. The decisions we all make in life come with consequences. Momentary lapses of good judgement are almost a part of the maturation process. We all have been there. When we get together, I'll share my personal "momentary lapses (plural) of good judgement" if you wish.But for now, I will let a prayer drift off to the Heavens for your long time friend. Peace be with you.

I am so very sorry for your pain, I hope you can recover from your loss and seing this tragic accident. I have said a little pray for you and you lost friend.
