The biggest factor beside a tune and how you launch. I have lots of launches in the 1.8-1.9 range on stock tires. You do that and you can be in the 12's with good weather.

I had an 05 qc with 2 PCM's. The stock one and one that was flashed by DC Performance. All I had was a CAI and magnaflows cat-back exhaust and i could notice a big diff with the tuned PCM.
If you are smokin the tires at 15mph in first through second i would say it is tuned.
My truck ran perfect acording to the dealership, and that included two cert viper techs.
With my stock pcm and no stage the truck would hardly spin at all on the street, and chirp when i hit second. If i staged it even up to 2000 it would smoke the tires until u let off the gas
My flashed pcm had no stickers, just a vin # on the back.

The 06 QC's are heavier than the 05 QC's. My 05 stock QC (except K&N CAI and stage 2 comp) ran a best of 13.5 in the 1/4 with the stock tires on a very good track (Famosa). This track has a 600ft elevation and had a great DA on that day. I find it hard to believe that an 06 will run 13.0 with a tune. If it does I'd love to see the video.
I agree - I have gotten my 06 to run 13.55 so far - all stock except tune - but the track and air was amazing.
Still not sure how these guys beat C6 vettes other than bad drivers(in the vettes). On the same day my wifes STOCK 06-convertible & automatic vette ran 12.96, her first 12 - and there is no way my truck is getting there without some significant changes.
