A guy I work with told me this morning that he gave a red SRT10 RC more than the SRT10 driver expected last Friday on the way home. The SRT10 turned North on Highway 62 from the Bridge City direction of Highway 87. One of the runs was from 50-95 or so? Just checking to see if whoever it was is a member on the forum.

I have my SRT10 QC because I couldn't outrun the silver 6.0L GMC with my modded Hemi.

The silver GMC extended cab has CAI, electric fan, Thorley headers, high-flow cats, straight thru cat-back, cam/heads from Nelson Performance in San Antonio, an aftermarket stall, a beefed up tranny, and a dyno tune. I've not been to the track with him since heads/cam but I expect at race weight with drag radials and good air he'll hit a low 13.

Prior to getting my SRT10 he went to the track routinely and busted my Hemi. Since getting my SRT10 he's not been. He recently added the new heads/cam though, believes he has a chance, and will go again. We played a bit on the road since and I can pull him but not by a lot. Assuming the Red SRT10 RC from the Bridge City/Orange area is on the forum, I'll post our next trip to HRP in case you're interested in going too.

I was wrong on the day. It was last Thursday, not Friday. He said the truck looked and sounded like stock exhaust. Surely a 6.0 GMC wouldn't have had to keep letting off the gas to keep from hitting the back of your truck?

Still looking. The incident is real but my intent is to try and get more interest from some local SRT10s to head to the track when good air comes along. His GMC will be a test for some though.

Sounds to me like the chevy has spent 10 to 12,000 dollars to try and run with a factory built truck by Dodge.

GMC....and yep, I'm on your side having invested in an SRT10 too but I expect his aftermarket investment is not quite $8,000. He's chosen wisely and had no waste. It's a nice truck but I still prefer my SRT10 QC.

As soon as my truck is back to 100% I will be at the track every weekend again. Thats one of the few places that keeps me out of trouble...
