If these heads don't sell, I'll have them installed while I'm deployed again. My question(with all of these FI motors blowing) is this, is 490-500rwhp safe on a n/a motor?

TIA for your inputs,
Jim

You should be fine at those levels. Get a great tune from an experienced tuner.
I only have 7000 miles on my current combo, but so far so good.

...I would be willing to bet a na truck w/ 700ish to the rear wheels would kill everyone at the track...

...if you really wanted to you could make a 598ci n/a viper motor, w/ strykers.

I wouldn't worry about HP, but rather concentrate on the tune. The tune will make you or break you (literally). Just make sure you have a good safe tune and the HP will be the byproduct.

Excuse me guys ..... N/A meaning stock truck or slightly modded?

excuse my ignorance .... Thanks Jim

N/A= Naturally Aspirated (No forced induction like a turbo or supercharger).
A N.A. engine could be stock or highly modded.

'and is there a serious N/A cam out there yet..?

Shogun: A Japanese General ....????.... Anyways....

If you aren't changing heads, NO, there is no miracle cam out there because the cam these engines come with is closely matched to the 270 c.f.m. the o.e.m. heads flow; That is why changing the cam doesn't provide much of a power increase at all, and I.M.H.O., isn't worth the time and expense to change if you are running with stock heads, unless you are doing it for some reason other than an increase in power. (A short explanation packed into one long sentence).
