Thanks FlyingLow. I thought you had already installed your SCT program. I have a B&G Stage 2 and will be getting the SCT this week. I was curious if there was much of a difference.

I got the 93 and 100 octane SCT Tunes.

THANKS AGAIN!

These SCT's won't get you super big gains for overall HP and TRQ. But you will see large gains in the lower RPM bands. Post up your dyno sheet. Go look at the 2500-3500 RPM's and I bet you will see 50+ RWHP gains.
you are 100% right not only on the dyno results, but on the street,, big difference on the take off!!:burnout:

We finished the SRT 10 STS Ram an hour ago. 5 lbs of boost on the Mustang Dyno and he has 418hp and 545tq. We removed the VEC, kept his timing low and pulled alot of fuel with the injectors and 2 bar map.

Before anyone replies this is low, keep in mind we are on a loading dyno, not the Dynojet. I am sure someone in here will enlighten folks what that exactly means.

PM sent Marty..Thanks Jim

so what kind of difference are you talkin about on a fully loaded dynojet dyno...........to a mustang dyno......no more then 15 -20% im sure

I just went through this when I did some pulls on a Mustang Dyno after my mods.
Popular consensus is a Mustang is 15% lower than a Dynojet.
So in my case 492 HP translates to 566 on a Dynojet.

so 418 hp and 545 tq would translate to..................480.7hp and 626tq
not tryin to bust any balls........but i would be very sad if i put a turbo setup on my rig and i ended up with these numbers.........:dontknow: just my opinion i am sure the owner is very happy

My experiance with Mystang vs DynoJet has been that they are usually within 1%-2% of each other.
My last wxperiance was with the silver truck a few years ago, on a Mustang dyno it put down 444rwhp and the next day on a DynoJet it put down 450rwhp. This is typical of what I have seen over the years.

Dyno numbers are just a tool. The best way to use them is for before and after results. The track is where you can see real results.

The (4) main dyno facilities around here which are (2) Dynojet and (2) Mustangs both see the 12-15% differences. And talking to our counterparts to the north, they are saying the same things.

Over the years, I assumed this to be fact. A Lightning with 345 wheel on the Mustang is 395 on the Dynojet. A 440 Dodge at 444 HP on the Mustang is 510 on the Dynojet. One NEON was 394 on the Mustang and 450 on the Dynojet, etc, etc.

I type into Google: "different horsepower numbers dynojet and mustang"
and get several threads on the topic of the Dynojet showing higher numbers then the Mustang.

If you have seen closer results between the units, I guess it depends on how the Mustangs are setup..:dontknow:

I wish they ALL were closer, it would save some confusion during tuning and boasting sessions. I was there just for A/F and timing anyway...
The Mustangs ability to load was key.

It was interesting watching a Dodge diesel FLATLINE a Dynojet when it put out over 2000 ft. lbs. of torque!

If the Dyno's are different then how do you know how much HP & Tork a Vehicle is actually putting out?

As mentioned, take it to the track. Look at the M.P.H. numbers more than the "popular" benchmark of e.t.

I've never dealt with Dyno's.....but it sounds like your saying that you can get the HP & tork readings from just running down the track and doing the math----is that correct ? If so then why have the vehicle put on a dyno ? Or am I missing something , I just don't know but am willing to learn :)
