Hey Guys,
My truck is at "my" restoration shop. They can fabricate anything. I talked to the boss/mate and suggested I "may" go for a custom twin exhaust system. I know from first hand experience that twin pipes usually give a different note than anything else and sound more like a race car, almost two exhaust notes fighting each other. I'm just not sure it it's worth it. It will look cool, 2 x dual tips or just two nice sized oval tips sticking out each side. I would have the rear bottom kit/skirt altered to have the same exhaust "cut out" as the stock trucks.
What do you think? So far I'm going to have the Billy Boat long tube headers installed, it will be close but the shop said they'd get them to work, may require 1 or 3 custom pipes but they will get them on. Catless mids and catback, at present. Obviously this may go out the window with a custom twin pipe system. I did a search - zilch. I'm guessing no one has done this to their trucks?
I'm just worried if I do it, and it ends up ricey or tinny then A) I've wasted a shit load of cash and B) I'll have to waste more returning to a stock/B&B original setup. Thoughts and opinions are welcomed.
Cheers,
Carlwalski
