Gotta be Mikey.......
Ok I will make the same offer to you Blake.......after you fix it :D My POS GMC straight across for your truck if I am Racketman :D I swear to God that it's not me :dontknow: :2in1:

I think Racketman is the Mr. Hide of one of our members. He can say provocative things and not worry about backlash....Also I think Racketman has more to do with Racketeering than tennis Rackets...maybe he is trying to make a point of one of our members without causing to many waves...:dontknow:

I have heard of the Boomer, he does the SC'rs?

I hear many good things of this man, just wish I could have had time to meet this man. Maybe I send him truck or two to see how much power he gets.

I really like this group, very nice group of people and Mr. Jrgnd I try very hard to be nice, most people like a humble, quiet person over someone to whom is very loud and self centered, I work very hard at this, I hope I can fit in.:D

Hey Walt....did not read the previous 50 posts....but....

I wouldn't.....a 1000rwhp car is a specialty ride for the weekends....just too many variables....

I say drive it..2000 miles is a long trip, but if you take it easy, sort of, you should be fine..I understand your apprehension..if I waited as long as you have to get the truck back, I would be questioning the sanity of making that trip too..But, you put alot of money into it, and havent had a chance to enjoy it, so I say do it..if it takes a crap halfway through, you had 1000 miles of driving the beastiest beast on the planet..So go for it..you wont be sorry...

one word Walt...........1fast400......... I wouldnt chance the trouble and the headache..........I love ya bro,but just not sure about 2000 miles maybe 200 to start, not trying to be a dick, just I know it can be pain stranded at 6pm in the evening, watching people drive by in the freakin heat.:D

I gotta agree with Stink on this one. Your truck is majorly modded - IMO, being as you haven't had it back for very long, start off with shorter trips to make sure all is good.

Getting stranded would suck Stinkers Winker...:p

Okay, now that I have read all this, it's time for my 2 cents worth.

I have built a number of high performance engines and if I could not drive them 2000 mile without a worry they were not built correctly. Now the nice thing about a turbocharged engine is if you are not on the loud pedal it's not under much stress. That's the beauty of turbos. Hell, you could drive all the way to where you are going and hardly build any boost, or subject the drivetrain to any loads greater than a stock truck. I know, what's the fun it that. Well it allows you to feel the truck out and identify any problems that may need to be addressed.

So do it. Go easy and see what happens. If it breaks I would call JH and tell him to lube up. The truck is coming back and it's going up his ass.

Could I be Racketman? :dontknow: :D

Gee Walt,

There's surely alot of great brainpower and experience on both sides of the discussion.

The only thing that has NOT been correctly addressed is the subject of AAA.

I have the highest level of AAA roadside coverage that is available. If I remember correctly it is only good for 100 miles- like six times per year. Even if you used it for six separate tow charges...(which I'm not sure AAA will allow) it's only good for 600 miles......

So, I believe the AAA issue is a moot one.... It still leaves you at LEAST 1400 miles from home.

It all boils down to what YOU want to do. Which ever way your heart leads you, you should go that way. Come what may.

Who knows what will happen on any day in our lives...? It's always an adventure.

Follow your heart..............

Just drive the damn thing...;) :D Don't drive it hard all the way, but drive it. You need to fall back in love with it, or decide you can't. What better way to do that?

the key here is you said..."You built the engine"...I would trust a motor you built as well...problem is you did not build this motor......TOO MANY VARIABLES....forget money, time or John H....I don't want to see Walt on the side of the street in BFE at 3:00am.....
