So as many of you have heard, my truck was knocking about a month ago and i took it to the dealership. it also had no oil pressure. So they denied my claim last friday and cited over reving and racing as their basis for denying my claim. so i call this morning to let the dealership know that im coming to pick up my truck so can take to austin... i asked the sevice guy if my truck is ok to come and pick up....his response..." well the oil pan is not on so its not its not" I was flabbergasted!!! i said, " your telling me that for the last 7+ days my truck has been sitting with no oil pan. he said yeah!... so i hop in my truck real quick and go and take a look at just where exactly my truck sitting. i get to the dealership and i go to the service guy and i start just hammering him about why would the leave the oil pan off of the truck for over a week. i asked him where my truck was and he said it was in the back back of the service shop. i told him to take me to it and he sorta hesitated for a sec and then said "this way". we walk behind the service department building and it was sitting in the rear parking lot of the dealership. these guys left my truck out in this crazy humidity ( BTW it has rained like crazy here in Houston for the past 24 hours) with the bottom end exposed. i couldnt believe they would do something like that. MOPARCONNECTION, is that normal? i let them have it boy. i took video of it and multiple pics. they actually ended up puting the oil pan back on for free. i get home with the truck. a few hours later...i look underneath the truck again and low and behold ..they forgot to give me my crossmember back...so much bullshit....Anthoney im will never waiver in your advise again. So unprofessional. i bet you all the cylinder walls all have surface rust on them. i told the service manager that and he said, and i quote " some wd-40 and a rag and it will come right off" could you believe this guy. i bet he would have done that to his truck. anyway.. im taking my truck to austin to MOPARCONNECTION SO HE CAN DO IT RIGHT..sorry for the rambling... Screw Spring Chrysler Dodge jeep. Boycoted forever!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I too am sorry to hear about such abuse from a dealer.

On the other hand I've had nothing but god to say about Westoaks Dodge. I'm sure there are many other outstanding dealers in your area. Members share their experiences with different vendors and or dealers making this forum priceless. Thanks for letting us know.

wow, lucky for me I've had nothing but good experiences at the 3 dodge dealers I've used. The Valencia Dodge dealer fixed me up the first time I needed the tranny fixed. They even gave me a free rental. Then the tranny went out again in Phoenix, and Earnhard Dodge fixed it in no time. (not correctly but still)

So I brought it to robert and it's been perfect ever since - even with the nitrous!

That's some messed up shit!!

So you actually (unknowingly) drove it without the cross member? Pardon my ignorance but.... That's BAD right?!

Wow! I hope you can get this fixed up right! Good luck!

That is what stealerships are most noted for........Lousy Service:mad:

Have you tried Helfman dodge on I-10, I've never had a problem with their service.

This will be the last Dodge I will every buy... DCX doesn't give a shit about us. Hell my local chevy dealership will help me more then my local dodge dealership where I bought the truck from.

spring dodge black flaged me when i first got my truck the dc rep is a BIG PRICK ME AND HIM HAVE HAD IT OUT last dodge i will buy

If thy denied any warranty work why would the oil pan be off to begin with? Make sure and document this entire ordeal, pics, written documentation, time, date, etc.

Now that is such a shame. I'm glad my dealer has not performed like that. I've had nothing but good words for them so far. There are only two techs that work on vipers at my dealership and the service manager always checks on the truck before it leaves the lot.

I guess my experience is not normal at all.

dc has taken pics and its documented in the system. im trying to find out exactly what the reason was... but DC has something that shows of a particular mod thats a big NO NO, and its not the cat deletes. I'm waiting on a call from the DC Tech that inspected the vehicle.

This is what happens when you have ignorant techs who work on any car for that matter. As a tech my self I find it hard to believe that an over rev of the engine caused your damage. i believe The back tires will break loose before it ever over revs the engine to cause any damage.. I've seen many cases in my shop where the owner will over rev due to a misshift and almost always the first thing that will happen is a bent valve if it doesnt break it off..Seen many cases where the timing chain even breaks thru the valve cover and such... this is what breaks when you over rev... Even after all this evidence, we stilll have to remove the "PCM" and send it out to be reviewed by a field service engineer to read out the over rev fault that gets stored. That will find out how high it over reved', what gear and speed, time, coolant and oil temp and all other info.. After we recieve this info, only then can we approach a cust and tell him he's SOL... It seems to me the mechanic who worked on your truck was not able to really fiqure out what happened so he readily blamed it on you... Thats part of the reason i have a hard time takin my truck in for service besides my self..

not with chrysler's i can pull all the data I want from your pcm. i can tell you what engine speed, vehicle speed, gear, throttle pressure and numerous other parameters when it happened. everytime a code is stored we have freeze frame data. i can say that reving isnt why it was restricted. I will know more info next week. his truck is in my shop as of tonight. need to check it over and find out what needs to be replaced.
