So did 15/50 today. Engine is night and day difference quieter. At start up, I am probably around 85PSI, cruising at75psi (which is exactly what it was on 0/40) but oddly at idle, it is around 75PSI as well.

Mechanic also said he thought it was misfiring... which I thought it would throw a CEL for that?

Also, said I had a leak at the oil pan... which I am pretty sure was residual just tranny fluid from the PS shooting everywhere, because after 2500 miles I have only lost MAYBE 1/2 quart.

Glad to hear it worked out for you. Would think you southern owners could run 15W50 just about year round.

Misfire won't always throw a code depending on how bad it is. I thought my engine had a miss when I first got it. I guess it was because of the weird firing order our engines have. O You will know if one cylinder goes completely out! Trust me.

Clean the engine & see how fast the level go's Down. 1/2qt in 2,500 miles is good

When I ran RP 0w40 I did burn a quart after 2,000 miles.

On my third M1 0w40 and I don't burn but maybe half a quart from 1-3,000 miles

So with Mobil 1 am I gunna use a special version or regular old Silver bottle 0W-40?
