I had a great time yesterday at the GTG in Fontana ( other than the long wait). It was great seeing old friends ( SRTBrad, Brad LoveThisTruck, Ron, Alfredo) and meeting some new ones (Andrew, Smokey, Carl, SS, JR). I got up at 3AM , loaded the tires and jack and headed for Fontana. In line at 6AM and with Entry, Tech line it wasn't until 12:30 pm till I made my first run and then my second run was at 3:30 pm.....man the waits were crazy. Poor Brad only got one run, but it was a good one for his first full pass(12.47 @115+ mph) on the new engine...he will definitely get a lot faster with practice. Here are my two passes: Run #1 12.459 @ 109.00, 1.758 60', 1/8th 7.941 @ 85.76mph...DA 2788' (corrected time=12.045 @ 112.829) Run # 2 ( I got challenged by a Black Lightning, modded with Hoosier slicks..said he dynoed 456RWHP and 556 Torque) any way I ran: 12.467 @ 111.08, 1.812 60', 1/8th 8.01 @ 86.61mph....DA 3034' (corrected time=12.013 @ 115.365) . The Lightning REDLIGHTED (-.200) but only ran 13.384 @ 104.60.... I think I got him by about 9 or 10 truck lengths , anyway a sweet kill.

nice runs trainman....... so you correct your runs that you post? is this the DA caculator you use:

http://www.dragtimes.com/da-density-altitude-calculator.php

:)
Yes that is the website I use for the corrected times. I always report the actual times I run and sometimes I show the corrected time ( just for comparison). I had heard that Fontana was about 1/2 second slower than Famoso and .8 slower than Sacramento. Those runs of 12.45 and 12.46 were obviously really good runs for Fontana. The last time I ran there was Feb. 08 and my best was 13.02@105 with about a 20 mph headwind. The wind was not really a factor yesterday.

Good way to represent the 10. I raced my buddies L last summer and ran 13.4 with a 4lb pulley and tune. That is what that L probably had.

He probably had nitrous because I did 12.7 with a 75 shot on buddies L. Without the juice I did 13.4 as stated above.

Yesterday I ran 13.7 and 13.8 in the Silverado on the street tires.

I need to get some more practice on the 10 in Irwindale before I go back to ACD.
