Anthony, do you have a steve austin obsession? :dontknow:

Denise, you don't understand.. That show was my very favorite as a kid and for a little while yesterday, while watching him fight what looked like a eye-contact wearing Andre the Giant in a bear suit, I felt as if I was 7 again... But this time without getting Mr. Winky caught in my zipper.. LOL

Prof, did he intentionally name it that way to mimic the old television series, or was it purely coincidental?

Fully intentional. His Father was a career State Attorney (Ed Austin) and a two term Mayor of Jacksonville, FL. His late Mother was on my board of directors...he used an advertising agency in which I was a partner. His business has been very successful...

Okay so it's missing a hood, front bumper and fogs, grill, wing (as far as can be seen).. If these cosmetic items were replaced would you guys consider this an SRT again? How much would anyone think replacing these items and paint will cost? Did I see $10k? More maybe? If that is so I agree with not going over $16k buying it as is. I see a need for a carbon fiber SRT style hood and some other significant visual modding. I'm sure it'll generally still perform like a 10. AND it's VIN number likely still has an H as the 8th digit. This truck could very well be a great project for someone willing to take on the challenge.

yes...it is definately an srt-10, just missing pieces...the motor/tranny is still the original that was in the truck (at least when i got rid of it)...keep in mind, it might need some sort of motor work-dont know what kind of damage,if any, would/has happened since the intake is not bolted down correctly. and it had NO air filter at all. i know there is roughly 3000+ miles on it since i got rid of it.

by the time someone replaces all of the missing pieces, i would assume at least $5k-$10k or better-not including any needed motor work.

NEEEDED PIECES TO BRING BACK TO STOCK:
seats
center console
dash pieces with holes in them-lower piece, piece around steering wheel
gauge cluster plastic cover
rear carpet piece
2 upper rear plastic trim pieces
headliner
possibly the gauge on the drivers side
both drivers/passenger a-pillar covers
overhead console trim (was drilled for jack dispenser)
missing stereo speakers-sub, enclosure, amp and tweeters
seatbelts-all 3
electrical nightmare under the dash-bunch of cut wires
4 bent rims (if they werent replaced)
wing
hood
fog lights
grill
front bumper piece
stock antenna- had power one installed but no power and it doesnt sit quite right
oil lines
valve cover gaskets-mine were leaking
spare tire
all caps under the hood
it needed brakes at the time when returned
radiator fluid flush/change-drained to remove justins hard pipes-just added water
t-stat

***this is just what popped into my head at the moment

like i said when i first posted on this thread- DONT BUY IT, UNLESS YOU GET ONE HELL OF A DEAL
I do know that whoever bought it paid less than $15000 for it...i can look at the paperwork at home and give you the exact selling price at auction if you need.

yeah...the biggest part that would scare me is the intake not being bolted down correctly and running with no air filter...like i said, there is 3000+ miles on it since i returned it, so dont know if it was corrected before that or not...my guess would be that they didnt and probably still havent done it.

You going by the VIN to say that it was your truck??
hit the car history report...it shows it in South Carolina (where i bought it) and was registered in casselberry fl...also, i just know my truck...look at the four holes under the steering wheel that was 4 switches...and the 2 by the steering column...also the seats and the flat wooden center console that was gonna be a nitrous bottle mount...

Yeah, and after looking closer at the pictures, the radiator mounts that you can see through the grill....

That's your old beast alright... they really fucked it huh??

yeah...someone who doesnt have a clue will end up with that truck

Ya know whats funny? Is this poor isap trying to sell this truck on eBay, and all VTCOA members emailing him and bashin' him left and right telling him he's a scammer and that the trucks not right!! HAHA He's probably scared to even sell the thing now! I LOVE IT!

Somebody did screw this truck up!

However, it's not messed up because of an accident. I bought this truck at an auction and tracked the previous owner down to find out what the heck happened. He says it wasn't an accident that caused him to strip the truck, it was because the bank was taking the truck and he needed money. Please don't make me out to be the bad guy just because I own a small dealership, I had nothing to do with stripping the truck. I bought the truck to drive and am currently doing so. I'm a huge fan of the SRT's and that's why I bought it despite not having all the factory exterior and interior.

We didnt say your a bad guy, but dont post the truck on eBay as a true SRT-10 when 10k worth of parts are missing. Be truthful and maybe you'll get a willing buyer that can afford to bring it back up to par.

Whats the big problem here?

this guy bought the truck at an auction, he did the best he could as a small car dealer,

do ya really think small car dealers is gonna spend 10k to make it look right again?

He did what he is used to doing , got the truck at a deal, put as little as he could into it to hopefully make a profit. and in this time and day thats hard to do.

somebody will get a true Ram SRT 10, and it will be a killer sleeper truck.

and for an awesome price, and if they choose, they can buy the aftermarket parts and turn it back into looking identically like it was stock

But really guys, fro 19k you get a srt 10. either way around its a good deal for someone, especially when an engine alone is 10k

and who wouldnt do the same? get it cheap, fix it up a bit, try to make a profit?

people do it every day, and so would you;)

honestly, you did not track the owner down, he tracked you down :D. He called me yesterday to be sure i was not looking to buy it, and also, your reps toild me they paid over 20k for it and could not take less than that, i still have the emails, but now i know what you really paid and even at 16.5k you would still be making money on it. let it go for what it really is worth, not what blue book states because we ALL know (including you) what it really is worth :D

honestly i have more SRT in my wrecked one than this one has.......

and stink, they were trying to get over a 50% profit..... on a beat ass truck. from what i have been told, the engine is probably not in too great of shape, so what is left??? a tranny and rear??? for 19k?????

In that case i got a tranny rear and engine for sale for 19k, ill be nice and throw in a engine :D

my frame is good too so it is basically the same to make mine right again as it is to fix this one, only other thing needed would be the bedside put on :D

just got off the phone with Dan...i told him the history of the truck. According to the vehicle history, he is the third person to have this truck since i got rid of it. He has had it for about a week. It looks like, according to Dan, that the intake has been properly bolted down, the oil changed, intake has a filter and sounds like most of the wiring has been taken care of. The reason the front end is a standard front end and not an SRT is because i removed it...it was never wrecked. Everyone who saw my truck before i got rid of it loved the interior as it was...the list i made was just a list to make it back to 100% stock. Me personally, i would keep the leather interior. The wheels i had on the truck made it almost impossible to drive, they were bent and totally road rashed. These look like they could have been replaced already, but not 100% sure without closer pics.
After talking to Dan, he seems like a straight up guy...and he might end up keeping the truck and becoming part of the VTCOA family, so go easy on him.
