Twice now at say 50-60 mph and going to WOT a light would come on in the lower center of the control panel that reads, “check gaugesâ€￾. After doing so I find the only one acting up is my battery charging gauge and it reads ZERO. Zero as when the engine is turned off.

The first time it happened I was on the freeway about 15-20 miles from home. Was afraid my alternator was on the blink so kept driving thinking I could get home. About 15 miles later pulled into the driveway. Restarted and all was perfect. That was 3 weeks ago.

Yesterday at 60 mph went to WOT racing a twin trubo 300ZX. Left him in the dust thank you but the “check gaugesâ€￾ light came on again. Drove about 5 miles, pulled over and restarted the truck. All is well. Since yesterday I have driven about 125 miles with no problems. :dontknow:

Sounds like you might have a simple Alternator/Regulator issue. Take it off and then to one of those places that can test it out for ya.

Will do, 113,000 miles is a long time for an alternator----I think. :dontknow:

I would agree with the previous post that you have an intermittent alternator issue potentially.

& don't forget bout/where the voltage reg. is

I would suspect an under dash connection that feeds the gauge. If alternator were bad you would still see battery voltage on meter.
