Twice now at say 50-60 mph and going to WOT a light would come on in the lower center of the control panel that reads, “check gaugesâ€. After doing so I find the only one acting up is my battery charging gauge and it reads ZERO. Zero as when the engine is turned off.
The first time it happened I was on the freeway about 15-20 miles from home. Was afraid my alternator was on the blink so kept driving thinking I could get home. About 15 miles later pulled into the driveway. Restarted and all was perfect. That was 3 weeks ago.
Yesterday at 60 mph went to WOT racing a twin trubo 300ZX. Left him in the dust thank you but the “check gauges†light came on again. Drove about 5 miles, pulled over and restarted the truck. All is well. Since yesterday I have driven about 125 miles with no problems. :dontknow:
