I explained the history of the test at Chelsea.I gave him the engineers name and # that built Brendan`s truck.I explained that Brendan signed it at the sponsor function we were at in `04.I am emailing him back and forth.I am on hold to speak to him right now..

Did I mention the test truck was RED?Maybe he thought I painted it too?

You have got to be shitting me!! - They (Daimler Chrysler) don't even know that Brendan Gaughan drove the SRT-10 into the guiness world book? - Stealerships amaze me with the vast knowledge of the effen products they advertise and sell. Let us know how the saga ends ...

Just got the answer on the warranty stuff:




Dave:

I received clarification from the BC.

The warranty is not voided- however the restriction means that any
future repairs would need to be reviewed with DaimlerChrysler prior to
any repairs being performed under warranty. This is mostly due to the
vehicle having so many non- OEM parts on it (electrical
system/exhaust/brakes/engine intake, throttle body...). The vehicle was
inspected by the BC and according to them the decision stands.

Again, it does not mean the warranty is necessarily voided. If it is
determined that the aftermarket/non-OEM parts contributed to the failure
of a normally covered part, then the repair in question would not be
covered.

That's the best I can do for you.

Magnussen-Moss Warranty Act be followed.I realize if something we did
to the the truck that caused a failure it wouldn`t be covered.

Yea Stretch but my dealer in Cincy(not the selling dealer or closest one) is very good about stuff.They put the new motor in and have done a couple of warranty repairs with no issues.It these backwoodsdealers from Notown USA that haven`t seen a Viper Truck that have a problem with the mods.

If you remember from last year on the blown motor the first three days was a pissing contest with DCX where they played that same racing line.I had to give them the name of the engineer that built Brendan`s truck.I even dialed his office to have them talk to him.Apparently it wasn`t MY TRUCK that Brendan drove...Imagine THAT!
