i am still very interested in finding out what this build cost you, i know i asked previously and im sure you are absolutely in heaven being back behind the wheel of your freshly reforged Aragorn sword so i'll be patient.

Motor is great. If you are in USA give John a ring at Southeast Performance in FL. He can build you one just like mine a lot cheaper if yours hasn't gone bang. You would also save on freight and customs charges and TAX. I could have saved money by not buying the Striker Heads but.......WTF

Just a stupid power steer return line leak when sitting in garage.
I can't fix at home I will send it in and get the 2 hoses replaced and the push lock BS removed.

Nice list!! And geez those lines are a common issue so with all that was done that's really not a bad deal all in all! Glad it's all working out so far

You already had the headers right? You just mummyfied them I think ... lol

If you build before the pistons flake it would be a lot cheaper. The narrow ring lands on the OEM pistons, to get the emissions lower, are the only real problem. All depends on how extreme you want to go. The OEM conrods, especially the cracked cap rods are fine. The OEM lifters are High Bleed for emissions, the OEM pushrods flex, they were a cost cutting deal. Decent head work from John, a lot cheaper than Striker Heads. Gen4 heads maybe. A better cam. Probably $20k US. It all depends how far you need/want to go. I only changed fuel pump incase it struggles to keep up (it sounded marginal) The injector change because they may be needed and because the latest technology and 4 holes instead of 1 has to be an improvement over 20 year old injector technology. Fuel injection has come along way in 20 years. The oil pump....who cares by then I may as well, I was so far down the hole.
Yes already had Belanger Headers and Venom TB and Coils.

I have a driveway and jackask HOA THAT HAS A STUPID RULE YOU CANT WORK ON VEHICLES ON YOUR OWN DRIVEWAY ! I do what I can when I can and try to be invisible to neighbor grown up tattle tales ... ive been sent letters and threatened with fines about half a dozen times for their idiot rules .. The premadonna president of the HOA is a keyboard lawyer that likes to throughnout Statues she doesnt even understand lol Statue - §6kissmyask#66-666 ..

The biggest saving is having the engine in one piece before you start.
For 700hp you don't need to change everything. Pistons, cam, Head work.
I have built mine for 1000hp strength. It is over kill. It will never get there.
If you are going to use a supercharger......
 
I will say Plum Crazy is surely a gorgeous truck! I really like what the vinyl striping did for the look. It's very well kept and the paint is so shiny! I'm So glad she didn't get stuck in the bone yard because of the engine!!
 
What do you use to shine it up like that with ?
