I've been racing the Lightning for over 5 years and I can tell you colder the air the more HP the Lightning makes. Simple reason, colder denser air can be compressed more. More air in the Super charger more air in the cylinder = more HP.
If its 95 degrees and a DA of +1000 feet I'll run 10.5's If the temp is 65 and the DA is +1000 I'll run 10.2's
My engine and trans are always cooled down before every run. I use 3 fans. Clint (Chubs)on here knows, He's been out to the track plenty of times to watch me..
Don't believe me go on the Lightning forum and ask the guys what weather the run the fastest in.
That's true with any motor, but more so with FI. Heat kills!
