The worst i've ever got was aroung 8 mpg, my first tank, and the my average is 10.5, hand figured. My overhead read about half a mile to a mile better than the actual. On the highway i got 12.5 hand figured.
 
A bit over 19 on the highway is common. That is a pen and paper calculation and not the overhead.
The mileage went UP after the cam and Strikers were installed.

We also have a bit bigger gallon here in Canada...

The mileage is better than my 1999 1/2 ton Dodge 4x4 bush crasher, with the mighty 318.

Some real good numbers here guys, I might have to drive for the best I can get and see what I can run. My reading was normal driving, overtaking, floor it when I want, etc. Good to know when you need to, these trucks "can" get some decent (decent = in performance vehicles) MPG figures. :)
 
Never checked mine much on the 4.10's

The 4.56's gave me 18.9 going to PCB gtg running no more than 65mph
Going to and coming back from Macon I averaged 15.4 running 78 mph

When I get the 4.88's in well, mpg will go down a bit :mad:
but for around town :D
 
14.3 in the summer, 12.2 in the winter... anyone else notice a different either from warm to cold weather, or is it the winter blends of gas????
 
I was getting around 14.6 just playing around town. Most the time I'm a laid back driver, I get on it at the green lights, but drive fairly conservatively usually.
 
Just drove from DFW to SW LA driving around 85-95 got around 15.2:D
Im not arguin with gas only 1.65 for 93 octane

Just drove 900+ miles from VA Beach to S FL on the new Roe Whipple install and the highest reading I got was 18.4 @ 80 mph. The lowest it read was 3.8 racing a twin turbo BMW with work done to it. Reading was taken @ around 170mph.

(sigh)..Street racin at your age?..tsk tsk...save it for the track..(also beatin on your truck is just gonna speed up the process of forging the bottom end sooner rather than later..)

Yea I'm getting a little old for shenanigans like that, but it was 2 in the morning just south of Orlando on I95 with no other traffic. I talked with the guy at the gas station and he got on the high way behind me, we drove for like 10 minutes with him like a 1/4 mile behind me. When there was no traffic I sawl him coming up, I was rolling around 80 and didnt hit it until he was next to me trying to do a blow by. he got out about 4 car lengths and I blew by him @ about 145 and stayed in it till about 5400 rpms.
I've been street racing for some time now and know all the consequences.....believe me. 3 suspended liscences later! :rock:

I 95 is the best illegal track there is!! I race on it everyday.:D :D
