The Philosophy Thread - an Experimental Therapy:

that is what I would say;)

also, with regards to my faith in one true God. If I reach the end of my life and there is no heaven/hell/God/Jesus...I will die knowing that I treated all people with the utmost respect, helped a brother(person) out when I could, tried to be the best husband and father, try to live my life to a higher standard, and remain as humble as possible...helps me sleep at night and on my death bed will allow me to go out with a smile and fulfillment...
But I still belive Jesus rocks:rock:

I wholeheartedly agree...

But, I still think that this response belongs on the other thread.... It just invites an objection...

Just trying to keep everything in it's place.... ;)

Let's all please remember that the "Skeptics" thread is the place for disagreement.... Not here.

If someone has a need to ask sincere questions such as those Rapunzel, I would deeply appreciate it if the answers were directed to the specific point... Not railroaded into nonexistence....

However, if the atheistic or agnostic members have something that is uplifting, encouraging or altruistic or in some way noble to share, then by all means, share it.....

I must (once again) disagree.....

I've been married since Jesus was here the first time..... (Shut TF up Roy... it's called "literary license").. and I have NEVER cheated on Lynette. This I can assure you with all honesty....

And if a beautiful woman is anywhere within eyesight, I am (admittedly) affected... It is in my DNA... it's in every mans chemistry to be chemically arosed to some degree. That is not to say that I allow my mind to then become fixated on sexual fantasies with her... But I can't help but be affected and take major notice of her hotness..... As in "Lordy, Lord, Lord"..

If that's the same thing as doing it with her... Well, my wife is the strictest Christian on planet earth. And even SHE will tell you.... The fact that I haven't actually been physically unfaithful has preserved our marriage through several decades...... APPRECIATING ANOTHER WOMAN? IT AIN'T THE SAME.

Perhaps it's just another lost in translation.....

Every honest theologian that I know has candidly admitted that every swinging dick in this congregation has looked upon "another woman" with fond appreciation... God made us this way in order to perpetuate the species. So if he's gonna come down on us for following the natural order of his creative purpose, He better cut alot more effing slack that that...

To me looking at a beautiful -sexy-hot ,woman with an appreciative eye for the feminine form is not the same as looking at her "lustfully".To me that would be looking long enough to fantasize to point that you would have sex with her if you could. Just my .02

Wow! It looks like I've missed a lot today. I am not sure whether this post is directed toward my post or someone's response to it. I would like to note that I did not ask a question; rather I was simply making a statement. Also, while I was thinking about James as the brother of Jesus, I specifically did not quote or cite any verses from the Bible so as not to invite (further) debate or discussion on the issue. Hope I haven't caused any unecessary waves.

Oh, good :) As I mentioned in another thread, I've only been in this forum for a few days but have gotten thoroughly drawn in very quickly! With one exception, I've posted more here than I have since first going online about 10 or 11 years ago. I was surprised this morning to see that I've already made "junior member" status. I told my husband this is my new addiction. I hope I don't get kicked out once it becomes known that I don't own a Viper Truck!!

Folks like Mikey wear there bannings like a badge of honor.

I sold my truck in December of last year. Some members have been inviting me to leave ever since. So, not to worry. Post all you want.

Enjoy the addiction.... We all have it....

I may start my own VTCOAholics Anonymous 12 step recovery program....

I Think the Lifecycle is all Backwards

You should start out dead;just get it right out of the way.

You wake up in a senior care facility and start feeling better every day.

You get kicked out of there for being too healthy;go collect your pension;then, when you start work, you get a gold watch on the first day.

You work 40 years until you are young enough to enjoy your retirement.

You drink alcohol, you party, you are generally promiscuous, and you get ready for High School.

After High School you go to primary school...you become a kid...you play or nap all day...you have no responsibilities.

You become a baby with no cares whatsoever.

Then, you spend your last 9 months floating peacefully with luxuries like central heating, spa treatments, room service on tap, larger living quarters everyday...and then...

...you finish off as an orgasm ! :D
