Well I go to court on Thursday for my speeding ticket. Since it is Yom Kippur maybe someone will watch out for me. Send a prayer or two my way if you got some space on your list.

Good Luck Man!

Kiss the Judges ass and act like a poor little innocent boy and you might just get off. It works for me...sometimes. Dress like a nerd too.

Nope!! Better idea!! Hire an attorney who specializes in getting tickets dismissed and have him beat it!!! It's more fun!!!:D

The name "Yom Kippur" means "Day of Atonement," and that pretty much explains what the holiday is. It is a day set aside to "afflict the soul," to atone for the sins of the past year. This day is, essentially, your last appeal, your last chance to change the judgment, to demonstrate your repentance and make amends.

I am thoroughly convinced after attending endless days in court that the word "repentence" is the key which unlocks the gates to mercy on behalf of those who judge.... A good story to give witness to your redemption can be the best context (in which) to exhibit your contrition.....

Best of Luck and God bless...

I am not sure if the level of severity for simple speeding is understood by those that don't live in virginia. 1 day in jail for every mile over 90.

Personally I hope you do not have to do any time on this.

However, if you were aware of the severity for this, choose to ignore it, and were then caught. Then you have no one to blame but yourself.

Good luck.

Actually I didn't realize how big of a deal it was. Where I previously lived it was a non issue. I was not aware that VA sends people to jail for speeding more often then they send DWI away.

Jeez Monkey Boy Have A Banana!! The reason that most attorneys that specialize in speeding tickets win, is because the cops break the law when they write them. Prime example. I beat one 6 years ago where an aircraft clocked me doing over 100 in a 60 because Washington state law states that the cop that radar's you has to be the one to sign the bottom of your ticket. Case Dismissed.
They write tickets often times hoping you will just pay them, even if they are wrong and they no it.
If the cops can break the law, why can't we?? :dontknow:

then say you did it once and you will do it again ,hahaha,,o ya bring your tooth brush you will be needing it

Are you guilty?

Accept responsibility for your actions.

+1

Live and learn. You are quilty and know it. It sucks about the jail time. After all, this was probably put in place to "teach" people up there a lesson. Unfortunatly your going through learning right now. Will you speed again now knowing this, probably not. Especially if you have to do jail time.
I, for your sake, hope you lawyered up for this.

I have quite a good lawyer. It just amazes me to live in a state where speeders get bigger sentences then DWI. And I can be puritanical because I do not nor have I ever drunk and drive. Not once.
