Totally Off Topic...But Interesting

The wind generator is cool. Would like to put one on the roof of my truck to power an electric SC.:D

I was thinking of filling the floor of the truck bed to power an electric motor as a power adder...kind of like the hybrid technology...

Maybe.... But, I'm sure some activist group will protest that the apparatus is too noisy and would create "sound pollution". (you ever fold a piece of paper in two and make it whistle? ;) )

The reverse flow thing is cool, but also easy to figure out. The media they used, as Jake so eloquently suggested, is incredibly viscous.
I found it funny as hell that these hardcore scientists couldn't count to 5. LOL
What I'm curious about is how Jake knows that a bucket of KY looks like. :D

The belt generator is pretty slick, but.....to do it on a scale necessary to power a small town, 24/7, it would probably be longer (or taller) than the entire island of Haiti.
The other option would be to make smaller individual ones. That would be more feasible and probably more cost-efficient.

I'm doubting the activists would say anything; if you already live in a windy area, you're hearing the wind blow all the time. A little buzzing would be nothing. They've got bigger fish to fry. :)
A protest would be kinda funny considering we're talking about the grass-licking, tree-hugging, Lord board-wearing, granola-eating crowd. "WIND IS BAD!"
What's next? "OXYGEN SUCKS!"?
:D
