Heh heh...few threads here have GPS.
Since segue's are for kids, I'll try to get things back on track:
Part of the traction issue with the RC's is the shifter. Depending on how long you desire to have traction, hitting 3rd every time would be nice.
The drag guys have had problems in the past, and thus aftermarket shifters (like Boomer's). They are great if you don't want to miss a gear.
For daily drivers, missing 3rd is a pretty rare occurance. It's only happened to me a few times, and none of them have affected my E.T.
Moving on.....
Tires are another point to consider. The Pirelli Scorpions are a high-performance tire designed for very dry conditions. They are also a super-soft compound that will wear quickly. Expect fewer miles from these than your average 195/70-16.
There are tire options out there, ranging from decent price to uber-silly. Check into their compound and wear ratings as well.
QUESTION: Have any RC owners tried replacing their "spool up" shock with something stiffer (or softer, or adjustable) in order to get a bit more bite?
