What about the auto-tragic trans?

I do not drive my truck hard, per se, but like power (and extra power would be nice) when I need it. I haven't dyno'd my truck, and the only real thing I've done to it is a Roe SCT tune, so its probably ~400+rwhp? I'd be happy with 500-550rwhp through the auto trans.

Will the trans hold up as long as it is maintained properly?

At 550 wheel, it might live a while with good maintenance, but it won't live long up there without reworking it...even a shorter time if you use sticky tires or D.R.
Mine failed a few times ON street tires at that power level. Not enough clamping force on the drum. A shift kit and other goodies will help.

I would also change your valve body to increase line pressure( more clamping force in your drum which will greatly reduce slipping and failure) and also put a better band and clutches in it also:rock: ,I bought my tranny parts from Dusty Hawk- HTS transmissions, excellent guy to deal with:congrats:

If your shifting out at 5950 then you stock transmission is probably already feeling the heat.

With a BG i was at 440 hp 480 ftlbs, Roe 3.3L whipple 500hp, 500 ftlbs......... LOL don't ask, something is WRONG! :D but it sounds good!
