William, the ride was awesome in your car! That was as fun if not more fun than actually going around the track myself. I have never experienced throttle steer before. Nothing like being in an F Body eating up Viper's and Porsche's :)

Thanks to everyone else for the compliments, it was a great time and I had a blast.

The 2:00 compared pretty well with others out there. I was in the green group as it was my 1st time ever to TWS, 1st time to track the ACR and the time was done in my 2nd session after release from my instructor. The marshall looked at my times and said the 3rd session should be a 1.58 - 1.59 based off of my progress but physical fatigue kept me from going on the 3rd session. I was being very conservative as I had a very conservative instructor. He was VERY good, but was keeping me on the leash :(

The blue groups fastest time was a 1.59 and I was second for the blue group times, the white groups time was a 1.56 and I would have been seventh for that group. The red group (full blown race cars) had a best of a 1.46 which I would have place dead last and then some :)

I consider the weekend a GREAT success. Especially since I was stock. Stock tires and brake pads where most of the Green and White where on the Hoosier R6's and race pads. I bought my pads at the track and will order tires soon for the next time out!

Those Vipers are a treat to watch at the track but who was that guy in the SS that kept passing up the slower Vipers?

Quote from William about his car......

It's just eibach pros and kyb adjustable shocks. An 01 LS6 pullout with full bolt ons and a 224 cam and milled heads. Car had race seats in it for the event so I wasn't sliding everywhere inside.

I run Nitto NT01 tires 275s all around and C5 front brakes with Raybestos ST41 front pads and Hawk HPS rears with Super Blue fluid. Car is pretty basic I just know it very well.
