This is from the Worlds Strongest Nation team competition held in the Ukraine. The weight on the bar measured in at 360kg or 792lbs http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UokIiBvPlVc BTW, Team USA took 2nd overall. There's another video on the side bar of me doing some Altas Stones in Scotland the week before! Also pretty cool too. Just thought I'd share.

Derek if you can do 10 reps with that Beamer? Im sure you and do at Least 1 or 2 with a RC:D

Steve

Derek...seems the suspension on that Honda was reacting to your squats...looked a little dangerous...suggest they compress the suspension so you are not having to deal with the oscillation of the car in addition to the weight.

Or maybe timing the movement of the car assists in overcoming the moment of inertia???

You are experiencing the realization of huge amounts of effort and sacrifice...enjoy, you have earned every second of the recognition.

Oh, and thanks for what you do day after day to maintain our social structure and way of life...

Thanks prof and everyone else for your kind words! Most people do find it very interesting that I'm a cop and a professional strongman! I have to be one of the few people that get a chance to say that I love both of my jobs!!!!

One more step twards WSM:rock:
I actually compete in a rival federation of WSM called IFSA. Its a very long and drawn out story that all took place when the athletes seperated from TWI, the production company, back in 2004. The production company kept producing Worlds Strongest Man even through the top athletes were no longer invited due to the break up. TWI would just invite random athletes to the contest with no real qualification. IFSA on the other hand has national and world level qualifiers and a true world championship. Our current world champion is Zadrunas Saviskas from Lithuania. To paint a better picture I will say this. Every year at the Arnold Classic is held a Strongman competiton unaffilliated with either federation. The end result over the past four years has shown the top five placings going to IFSA athletes. As a matter of fact, Mark Felix who is ranked top 5 in WSM was competing against me in Scotland last week. I not only took home the win but beat him in 6 events out of 8 with a loss in one event and a draw in another. My world champinship is being held in South Korea in September.

Doesn't look to hard to me:p

Nice representing USA Derek!!!

Are you sponsored by INZER, Those squat suits are a pain to get in and out of!!! especially the triple layer canvas.

Best of luck, stay free from injuries!

Oh...what about a video of you Squatting the SRT10:rock:

Yes I am sponsored by Inzer. I don't however have the laviathon triple layer canvas suit you're referring to. The suit I was wearing is a TRX Inzer squat suit. It was my first time squatting in it so I'm not to sure what type of gains it is worth in an actual squat.
