Viper V10 505ci Engine Longevity?

Do you think this goes for making the engine breathe free also? Putting a CAI and a catback on and cutting out the cats. How does the engine react to this? It should last longer from what I've heard. :dontknow:

Yes, but it doesn't have the same vacuum sound or look as good under the hood.

If you take an even closer look you will see that it was originally designed to use a conical style filter. The recess in the bottom of the airbox and the flange design at the top edge are the givaways. Allows for more sq. in. of filter surface. Also needs more air input. If you look at my previous post history you can see how I used this to an advantage.

Now that's what I like to hear. After poring over these pages before buying my very-gently-used '04, it seemed that only the most demanding drivers had serious longevity issues. I drive mine like a grandpa...most of the time. My only modifcation is a Rat Fink antenna topper. Those are good for only a few tenths, at most, but I rarely activate it.

Give me a few weeks and I will put in an order for plugs and wires.

FYI.......do some research on changing out the plugs and wires..............it aint easy!!

Yep, lots of empties and parts lying around that you wish you knew where they went. Doesn't really matter until you sober up and wonder what the hell you were trying to do. But is definitely more fun.
