Hey guys,

Can everyone post up their interior shifter set ups. Having done hundreds of searches in the last week or so I know for fact that there are heaps of combos on this forum. From chrome, black, Hurst & B&M levers, X-Metal kits, T-handles, Viper balls, pistol grips. Would be nice too see all these set ups in the one thread for those of us to drool over lol. I know I myself may change 2 or 3 times and experiment.

Having these photos here gives all of us an online look into the future. So whether it's stock or stock with a simple touch of chrome on the trim ring or an all out custom design with custom length, colours and knobs, post away! Ps: Automatic owners feel free to post as well. Also, if hosted elsewhere they will remain posted. Hopefully in time we may get a sticky, who knows. When posting, please state what you've done and any part #s that others may find useful. ;)

Cheers,
Carlwalski

My Gen-X below prior to RHD Conversion completion. Safe to say my mods would be rare for these trucks LOL. RHD and all. If my truck had stayed LHD the new shifter would have just bolted in perfectly. But when they put the new dash in, the console goes about 45mm (1-3/4") to the right so they had to make a new console so everything would fit. Everything would be painted to match. Will post more when I get my truck next week!!! :burnout:

Hey Carl, I bet you can't wait now. One more week to go. The count down is on. Did you do the exhaust yet? Or are you going to wait to drive it stock first?

Hey mate, not to go too far off topic being more of a visual thread but, nope. Thanks for asking though. I wanted the Gen-X installed and the truck 100% ready go drive when I get it. This includes scratches/dents found on the pre-inspection sheet. It had a couple plus kurbage on the mags, all fixed now. It's been almost 9 months since I purchased it. :( lol....hold ups etc though, it would usually be around 2-3 months from USA to my door RHD completed.

As for the exhaust, I will drive around for several weeks and get use to the truck and how it drives before installing the (loud) cat-less exhaust. Chances are, while getting use to the SRT a missed gear here and there and driver error will happen, I'd like to do the "introduction" part without the entire block hearing it LOL. I'll be posting a full LHD-to-RHD conversion thread later. Something you guys wouldn't see very often if at all. :)

Cheers bud,
Carl

I cant imagine having to shit left handed..........that seems weird. 9 months of waiting.....wow, thats patience!!! LOL

This is my gen 1 x metal with a hurst T handle. I have since replaced the T handle with a Viper ball (no pics yet). T looks good but I did not like how it shifted with it.

Good input guys, keep the photos coming!

FatJack - Cool, thanks for the confirmation. Looks kind of low?
I really like the "tall" (little less than factory) look. Suits a truck! :)

Cheers!

Stock is KING! :D ;)

Tall...Long throw
Short....Short throw

Yup, I know that but that's just a "little" too short for my tastes.
Different throws for different bros. ;) Looks good though. :)

Almost stock.:D

Yay! Now I can finally pitch in with photos. ;)

My setup: X Metal Gen-X shifter. Being RHD the console had to be modified to suit the aftermarket shifter. The console top had to be moved 45mm (2") back towards the console to allow the shifter to fit/work. In the end I lost the coin/gum slot between the console and shifter. The end result is quite tidy and clean. Love the shifter thus far but it's on early, been 2 days since I got the truck.

Looking good guys. :) Nope not late, this is merely a reference thread for those looking at shifter options & setups. ;)

J.T. (VnmPwrd) who is the member I bought the truck from said this B&M shifter in my 06RC was the first shifter made from steel instead of aluminum.

Anyone got the white or black "Classic" style engraved shift balls? From Jegs @ $39.99, they look cool, just curious. :D
