Just wondering if there are any questions or concerns that makes people hesitant or are delaying there registry for one particular reason or another

Thanks
Jeff :dontknow:

Jeff, I was going to post this when you first came up with the idea but I deleted it and left it. What I was going to say is, to some people, taking a photo of the door tag might be too much effort. Heck, we've seen in TOTM threads that it's too much effort for some to even take photos of the truck lol. While the door tag helps confirm the truck is legit, it will also hold people off registering. For some, I can envision it to be one of those: "I'll get to it later" jobs. Members on this site should be OK to do it but outside the site I can't see it happening. We know and trust you, non-VTCOA members might not feel the same. If it is simply send in 1 photo, name and location I feel your submission rate would double. 2c :)

Carl, I tend to agree with Jeff on this one... How would or could he validate the truck from a "Poser" without the door sticker that denotes it as an actual SRT-10? :)

I agree with you/it. But, lets not kid ourselves here. These aren't classic MoPars like Cudas or Chargers were rebodies are common, are they. :) You see guys selling tags on eBay for Challengers etc all the time illegally. No one would do that for these trucks, there really is no need to, they are that new it's not worth even a crooks time. I personally can't see 1 "fake" registering. There is nothing to say someone couldn't grab a door tag off an eBay auction and register it, for the life of me, I can't see why, that would bring a new meaning to "has no life" lol. Like I said, I do agree, it is a good way to verify just in terms of gathering numbers a register sets out to do, it will hinder it's progress.

The problem is that my 10 is in my brothers garage and I have not been there lately. Otherwise I'd be the next number in line.

Carl, I understand what your saying. With that said, I'm more interested in Quality not Quantity. If I just wanted to show numbers I could copy down all the registered members here and call it good.

The reason for the door sticker is that quality. If a truck is sold, traded, or maybe even stolen, the registry number will always be the same for that VIN.... Quality

Jeff, I hear you bud and I agree, I'm also one for high quality control. I wish you all the best with it, I'll be behind it 100% and you know this. ;) It doesn't change the fact that someone could easily grab a VIN/Door Tag decal off eBay (Dealers often show them) and then register with you to "pass" that process. Once again, you asked for opinions as to why it's low and I feel this plays a part in that, that is all. :)

I'd like to thank everyone for their input. The one thing that has been brought up the most with the people I've talked to is the Master List. Lets just say that was version 1 and the Registry is version 2.

Next, over the next few weeks I'll be working on the non-Verified and verified that have no known owner (for sale and has door plate). This will get me up to 1200+ trucks in the registry. Trucks that probably will not be moved are ones that I don't have at least a picture and a screen name.

Again, Thanks
Jeff

Jeff, I will post my info asap. Like others have been busy with work and play and when the weather is right, working on the 10. I also have been blessed with having 2 other BLACK QC10s move into my little city, so I will try and find them and get their info.:D

Hey just about the time you finish that beer, I'll be at #54
