What Did You Do to your Vehicle Today?

Blue pin stripe and blue calipers, silver handles, shaved tailgate, and i'm removing the headlight corner lights and painting the housings gloss black.

It could pass for a Miller Lite sponsored truck by the time i'm done with it!

Eddie had 2 folks taking pics of the engine for 10 minutes 2 days ago......... I still won't take credit for it, it's all you hoss.
that engine did turn out good. now all you have to do is forge it up the boost and do a turbo400 swap and youll be set.

TH400 Great transmission, never had one fail on me, well one but some Lucas transmission stop slip and it was chirping second again. But I'm gonna go with Dusty.

This new house is gonna put the brakes on the forging. And i just can't make up my mind what to do.

Do I take the time, pop the heads off and mice the bore. Then go with a drop in kit or send it to Houston balance and machine, have it punched to 522 for 5000?

Either one will either get done when bonuses come in or I might get a home equity loan. Don't know but it need's to be done. I really wanna tune up the wick! The girls are getting use to the present power level.

if it was me id just do rods and pistons. no sense going radical with the roe. i dont think you can get but so much out of it. with a th400 a good stall converter youd be able to tune the shit out of it and get it to do what you want it to do. maybe a small shot of gas to help keep it cool at the track

It will get a small shot, i've seen this blower run with gas on it. Don't know if i could swing the tires it took to do it!

those dr's would work fine with the QC. with about 17 lbs of air and heat em up good they will hook.

well yesterday i had to do a big NO NO i never drive my truck in the rain... but my Girl friend wrecked her car she turned a mazda into a 4 door thing with no wheels ....scared the heck out of me but everything is fine...toatled the car but shes fine.....she hydro plained into a rail an then bounced off of that an into an semi and that knocked her back in the the rail... lol anyway it was a bad day.......an i just got done washing the truck today lol

Oh man!....Thank God she's OK! Under the circumstances, I'd say that was a good day! I work in ICU and I won't bore you with a bad day. Sorry for both your troubles:(

I washed off the dust, rubbed on her lovingly, drove around feeling deep satisfaction, thinking about possible tunes and my drag strip days. Got an exhaust appt for this coming Friday. And then there was the drool.:p

Whats the truck doing prof?

Truck seems to drive great...there is a slight amount of wear on the inside of one tire...I have the numbers and I may have to elongate the adjustment slots over the winter to get it perfect...but it feels fine...the degrees are just not where they need to be.

Anyone used the aftermarket kits to get the adjustments dead on?

Alignment

Has the truck been lowered? Was the tire wear before or after the alignment? Caster won't cause tire wear and toe has plenty of adjustment so I'll asume your chamber is too negative causing inside tire wear. They make offset ball joints for some trucks to correct this condition.

Well prof, In the past We have actually cut off the upper control arm mounts and welded up a new type amount with precise adjustment via adjustable bolt...Of course when the new mount is welded we placed them a lil different to get the proper angle back..

If the feathering of the tire is slight i wouldnt be too concerned about it. I can assure you brand new bmw's with less then 10K miles develop feathering tires even with all the specs on the dot. We even add weight to the car to composate for the weight of the driver.

check the tires on your cts, you might be surprised;)

your upper mounts need to be elongated Prof, most any decent mechanic can do it.
but with your wieght and the way you drive your truck the pass side should be about 0 degree camber and the drives at .25 camber, and set the toe at about 1/16 toe in and you should be good and no wear

i painted and cleared the last piece of the puzzle....

then a piece of shit flicked into the clear...so i took it off the hanger, and set it on a gallon jug...then got some tape to get the trash out...

then i knocked it over...with wet clear....into a garbage can:mad:

take two tomorrow...shit on my face

Thanks Tony, I may get Stingray to stop by and elongate the slots this winter.
