Not that I'm selling it, but currently going through a divorce and she thinks that my truck is worth a fortune. I continue to tell her it is not, but she doesn't get it. Shitty thing is the 10's seem to be worth more in Canada, and when she goes online and sees dealerships trying to sell them in the 30k range for a stock one, she seems to think mines worth a pile and I know it's not.

Mine has the following:
2005 with about 30k miles
Forged engine
JMB's F1C Procharger
Ram twin disc clutch
Tony's clutch release system
Upgraded transmission
Custom lights from Retro Shop
Engine compartment has been gutted and all wires hidden
JMB relocated battery
JMB Charles's mods with Magnaflow catback
JMB badges
Tuned by Chris Jensen, but tune is not fully complete yet
Lots of other small stuff that I can't even remember

Seeing stock trucks on here sell for high teens, and Eric's Procharger truck getting no hits at 50k, what's mine worth? Keeping in mind that Eric's has the F2 blower, fresh paint, roll cage, striker heads, hogan intake, DTS rear axle, AEM engine controller, front and rear Bogart wheels and slicks, etc above and beyond what I have.

sadly right now probably 25-30k range addons dont add to value of vehicle.

It's worth what someone will pay and unfortunately I think you can sell it for $18K fast or try to hold on and get 25K tops with the right buyer. Either way a safe bet is around 22K with your mods in North America.

Say it ain't so!!!!:( You have a good woman there! She just figured out who the mistress is. The damn truck! lol The truck gets more attention than she does. You need to park the damn truck in a corner until your kids are older and focus on getting your priorities straight and fix it! Your kids are to young for a split!

In our market, I think your truck is worth $35-45k. To find a buyer who understands how much more you have put into it........:dontknow:

You could always have it appraised by a dealer, that will bring the price down in a hurry.

P.S. sorry to hear you are having troubles.:(

Tyler, I'm sorry to hear about the divorce :(. Your truck is my número UNO favorite '10 of all time. Having said that, Eric has lowered the price on his to 39k and still hasn't had any solid bites. Seems only the trucks that sell are priced at 25k and below.

Tyler sorry to hear about your situation, I went through it last year. Fortunately I didn't have any kids with my ex.

But realistically, all the mods you have done could work in your favor. Even though your truck is incredible, there are not very many buyers out there for a truck modded as much as yours. As it sits with all the wiring changes, and hidden stuff you are really the only one who can work on it.

You could try to sell it, set a price high and accept offers, (turn them all down of course) and then after it doesn't sell add a little bit to your best offer to come up with a price for the ex. The truck is worth a lot to you, but not so much on the market.

Or,
I do know a licensed guy in Edmonton who I can get in touch with to give you an appraisal. He's an old school guy who doesn't value mods very high. Might be a good fit for your situation.

Tyler sorry to hear about your troubles, Alberta-srt has some good ideas, offers would be low this time of year

Sorry about your situation....

In all my searches I have seen very few like yours for sale. Most have listed for over 35k and have either just dropped off the for sale list (no way to know if it sold or not) or I have watched them being listed week after week with a drop in asking price. The majority getting down to the 24-26.5k range (USD) stock version below 20k for the vast majority. I watched a VCA start at over 60k and the last time I saw it listed it was just over 30k. A CE start at 42k and the last time I saw it, also just over 30k. I saw a 2004 RC with less than a 1000 miles on the clock sell for less than 30k. With all that said, even the FI versions I see listed for less than 30k, they might as well not even have the equipment installed. So the bad market value currently for the RAM SRT-10 should be in your favor if you are looking for a poor market value.

I think currently (this is a guess) of the trucks I've found for sale average out at about 20k. There Canadian counterparts are closer to 30k (these are asking/Buy Now prices) and because I see the same trucks week after week, they are not selling very fast

Thanks for all the input fellas. I am giving her a brand new holiday trailer we paid $37k for in lieu of the truck and she doesnt feel its a fair trade. Obviously I would be way better ahead to sell the trailer, each of us split our loss on the trailer, appraise the truck, and give her half of the value of the truck. But thats not what I am wanting to do, I want her to keep the trailer as the kids enjoy camping.

Sorry to hear this Tyler, get some appraisals from a bunch of dodge dealers and ask them what they would cut you a cheque for! That would be the realistic cash value that would be a very low # for you! All the Best!!

I'll play the devils advocate here. If you value your truck at "trade in" or "cash" value, she may do the same with the trailer. If you tried to get a dealership to buy that trailer back, they are probably going to offer you 23k-24k for it, even though it's brand new. How much cash is she looking for?

i'd say your truck around here would be 32-35k tops...

roy's hasn't sold either that i'm aware of and he was at 32,5...

i'd say the truck alone around here could be had around 22-25k and you figure a max of 50 cents/dollar spent on mods as a return unfortunately...

I'll buy the truck off ya for a buck. Then when everything settles, you buy it back for a buck. Sorry to hear about the situation

The forum has a few that have been heavily modified like yours and have not sold. If she wants a realistic idea of the value today I would suggest showing her some of these for sale threads and attempting to convince her that what it is worth and what you can get for it are two drastically differant figures. The high dollar builds that are for sale are defineatly worth every penny that they are asking for them but that doesn't mean that they will sell for that amount. I for one only pick up cars that are selling under their value (the sweet deals). If it turns into a legal argument there are several past sales that I know of that sold quickly - ie Kyle bought an 06 with forged engine and Roe SC for 21K. In front of a judge this sale is an legitimate example of what you could "expect" to sell it for if you had to. You can also take it to a dealership and get a trade in offer in writing. Judges like documentation from experts, not speculation from people who have ideas or notions. If you really want to be fair with your ex then ask her to split the cost of an apprasal from a classic or custom car appraiser. Good luck with the situation - never good to hear someone going through this.
