Your truck so enjoy it........if I wanted to do such a change I would be concerned that the value of the truck as an SRT10 will be gone....it will then be a custom truck and custom vehicles generally dont bring what stock vehicles bring....just my 8.3 cents...:dontknow:

Dunno...I've heard repeatedly that there's no way to tell if the block in our truck, or Viper car for that matter, is the original... :dontknow:

First off the bare weight of the Cummins without any accessories or flywheel is over a 1000 pounds last time I checked. The current front suspension would not hold up to that weight. And it's not just the springs. It's the other components also.

Hell, I'm not even sure that the stock tires would be rated to take the load.

If you want something different, go for a Hemi crate engine. And not one of the new POS's. I mean the 426 or 528.

When I had my truck, I always planned on replacing the V10 with a 528 if I ever lost the Viper engine. Same cost approximately and a shit load more power.

And there is just something magical about the Hemi.
