Would It Be Sinful........

Your truck so enjoy it........if I wanted to do such a change I would be concerned that the value of the truck as an SRT10 will be gone....it will then be a custom truck and custom vehicles generally dont bring what stock vehicles bring....just my 8.3 cents...:dontknow:

The value of these trucks is already gone, unfortunately:confused:

Actually you would be the second with a diesel in a SRT-10,"wawrzkiewicz" is putting a 6.7L in a '06 QC right now,He posted a bunch of pics not to long ago on it.

Even more so with out the numbers matching engine.:(

with The amount you drive it, who cares...the truck is worth what its worth, in 10 years you can buy a mint condition one to keep in the garage!

I say drop that diesel in, when I come home to Jerz in august I will have to check it out!

I say do it! But you better hurry. I could have sworn I saw a post where someone on here had an 06 QC they were about to drop a cummins in out of a roll over. So, if you want to be first, DO IT NOW!

First off the bare weight of the Cummins without any accessories or flywheel is over a 1000 pounds last time I checked. The current front suspension would not hold up to that weight. And it's not just the springs. It's the other components also.

Hell, I'm not even sure that the stock tires would be rated to take the load.

If you want something different, go for a Hemi crate engine. And not one of the new POS's. I mean the 426 or 528.

When I had my truck, I always planned on replacing the V10 with a 528 if I ever lost the Viper engine. Same cost approximately and a shit load more power.

And there is just something magical about the Hemi.

RIGHT ON SILVER! You are faster on the key board.

The 472ci is a nice piece too.

Also nothing sounds meaner than a real HEMI!

If you are looking at that type of engine you will have more into it than rebuilding the Viper.
