What will happen if you installed the wrong crank in the engine. A six speed with an automatic crank?

There's a punchline somewhere right? I mean, this HAS to be a joke.

"Knock Knock.."
"Who's there?"
"Wrong crank installation.."
"Wrong crank installation who?....."
"It's a serious problem ....to let an owl get in here."

That would instantly burn up the muffler bearings, there by causing major flux capacitor damage.

Should be exactly the same crankshaft, the six speed will need a pilot bearing in the tranny end.

Apples and oranges my friend

they are all the same. only diffrence is maybe you may need a new dampner bolt.

your correct the 2004 is diffrent then the 05/06.

From what I understand the 04 and 1st half of 05 engines had the crank position sensor in the bellhousing area. The 2nd half of 05 and all 06's had the crank position sensor in the middle. I will post up a few pics in a sec.

This is an 06 block and you can see the crank position sensor in the middle:

Another way to find out is to look up the part numbers. If the Auto has the same Part # as the Six speed your ok, If not :motz: :motz: :banghead: :banghead:
