Can someone tell me what is the proper weight and capacity for our Trucks:

Engine Oil: 5W-30 - 10 Qts.
Manual Transmission Fluid: ?
Gear Oil: ?
Coolant: ?
Power Steering: ?

Thanks!

Sir, you best not be putting 10 QTS of oil in your truck unless you have bought a much higher capacity oil pan. :dontknow:

2004 oil is 8&1/2qt @ 10W30 I believe
2005-2006 oil is close to 10qt @ 0W40 or 5W40
Coolant 20 qts Zerex G-05
6-speed 75w/85w 4qt should do it
4-speed ATF+4
Diff 90W 3qt should do it can use 75W140 +5oz limited slip additive

Power steering is ATF+4 not sure on total but will shortly. Mine is apart now.

Hmmm, my 2005 QC only holds 8.5 qts of oil. My manual state 8.5 qts. Be careful as overfilling can be as harmful as being a qt low.

0-40 ro 15-50, white oem viper filter only, synthetic atf for trans, atf+4 power steering, hoat coolant, 75-140 differential. ......

Engine Oil: 0w-40.
Manual Transmission Fluid: ATF
Gear Oil: 75w-140 synthetic, no extra friction modifier
Coolant: Zerex G-05
Power Steering: ?

Got the black standard oil filter for my TJ at Wal Mart. Had to get the white Viper only filter from the Dodge dealer. Be prepared to order them. I usually get 2 at a time. It's part #05037836AB
If I put 8qts in mine it won't even show on the stick. A few reputable engine builders said it will be closer to 10qts in 2005&2006 trucks.

Mine always uses 11 to fill up

Does anyone know of a better filter than mobile one. Thinking that my oil gets dirty quicker cause the mobile ones aren't as good as maybe another.

I have always had to put 11-11.5 quarts in my motor with a complete oil and filter change. I just changed it rt now and took exactly 11.5 quarts to reach the top of the full line. Is it possible the previous owner put in a different oil level stick? Can someone give me the part number on your fill stick. Mine has one, I wanna see if they match up. Thanks
