Any estimates on price and expected gains?

I am not in on this project so I have no idea about cost.
The Gen IVs around here are 85+ wheel more than the stock Gen IIIs.

As far as expected gains, I see no reason why it couldn't be very comparable to a Striker (STREET) build.

That is correct. Got an email from them saying they are just waiting for Mopar Perf to give them a part # and pricing. Said the kits are ready.

Thats almost correct, Mopar is still waiting on getting the permision to use a part that has been produced to make this work. This part has a patent, aparently the deal is being worked on, But this kit is not being made for the Ram as far as we can tell it is being offered for the cars..

Troy the estimated price for the full kit with all the of the best rockers valves an components, which include new valve covers cost on thoes is insane, full long tube headers from a header guru, custom uper and lower intake, custom porting and polishing, on entire top end, Cam shaft, etc..... will run ball park 10k give or take... Now if you opt out of the higher end rocker rollers and go with stock that will save you $1800, maybe you have someone custom fab your exhisting exhaust that saves you another $1800 etc.. but the full package to get the 250hp will be in that ball park..

This package will give you another 250hp at the crank, and will outperform the strikers by a long shot... this head is a totaly new design and there is nothign out there that will touch this set up .. This is a 12degree head and it adds another degree of compression and these gen 3s love it.. With the proper intake and no moer starving cylinders the stock bottom end is just fine with it..

Well before you get too carried away: DC Performance is gaining 20+ with a ported Gen IV Intake Manifold and another 30 with ported Gen IV heads.

You can count on 35 more with headers, 35 with a cam and 30 with an increase in compression. I get 150 for a total.

I'm anxious to see some track results.

Maybe we could meet up at Mission Raceway some day...

Best of luck on the project. It's good to see alternatives out there. I've always been a big fan of going the naturally aspirated route on these engines.

Well time will tell and I still have some time before I finish the main part of my N/A build...... tracks times and reliability versus cost is what I want to see.....

Ya that would be awsome id love to get back to the track.. its been years.
my best run to date was my first run ever totaly stock, full tank of gas just drove 3hrs to the track, did not even shut off the truck, and ran a 13.3 at 108 , ive never been back modded but ive never been able to get there again either when stock.

Here is how it was broken down to me, gen 4 heads and set up stock over gen 3 heads stock will give 100 crank.. As the conversion will make it the same as the gen 4 motor, so from 500hp to the new stock 600 hp.. so the first 100hp is easy hp thats just the conversion from gen 3 to 4, The next 100-150 depending on your options that you chose with porting polishing of the gen 4 heads and intake, exhaust, rockers, valves, springs, etc etc etc...

Apparently my builder has done a gen 3 to gen 4 conversion fully tricked out and it produced 250crank hp over stock gen 3.. so that includes all the extras full exhaust front to back, cam, new intake ported polisehd, new head ported polished, valves, rockers, springs, all the hardware, the whole 9yards...

anyhow thats what he claims, i have not seen the results yet or am i selling this stuff. but he will have mine together in a couple weeks with pics videos and dyno runs videos,, he says his dyno does the 1/4mile as well with a big screen tv infront to show you runnign the track he will videotape that as well.. So all we can realy do is sit and wait for the 100% proof,,, But he did build my gen 3 stuff and the truck picked up another 125hp, and that was a stage 3 build not his stage 4 which claims to make another 25 to 35hp... So so far good luck.. but When we get some solid data which should be soon.. it should be interesting..

10K for your claimed 250 hp or 10K for Justins cog belt Procharger and 500 hp. Pretty easy decision in my mind.

No one is asking for your easy decision, and its not claimed yet, its what ive been told from the builder that is the numbers he has seen in other builds.. if you read the thread you will see there will be proof to follow via dyno and videos..

.As well Its safe hp, no charger of any sort is safe hp on a stock bottom end... No need to forge internals,no lean conditions popping number 3..,, So easy decision for the pro charger if you have an extra 10k minimum on top to do the internals of your motor...
but hey thanks for the input...

so 10k includes headers new headers everything, or we spend 10 on a charger plus headers, cam, and forged internals, fuel system, and so much more that im not even mentioning .. A pro charger my friend you will be looking at 20k minimum plus your install and tuning.. so not even close to 10k... but thanks for coming out.. So a true 500hp extra would realistically run you 30 or 40k.. If you go big like Dom then 100k...

Plus NA 750hp vs superchared 750hp ... the na will get you down the track faster... but hey easy decision for you as you have a good 20k+ in your pocket...

I agree with alot of what you said...which is why i wanted to stay away from FI and get a nice 600RWHP NA

Actually you are asking for peoples opinions so I gave mine. You started a poll remember?

The Procharger can be run on a stock bottom end, it just hasnt been done yet. I see this in two different ways:

1. Stock engine + Procharger. After this is run for a while and you want more, then build the engine and change the pulleys.

2. Stock engine + Gen 4 heads. After this is run for a while and you want more, then build the engine and buy another power adder.

So at the end of the day, what costs more?

Well it sounds like people need to just plan ahead and figure out what there end joal is...which we all know is the smartest cheapest route to go anyway.....

For sure. At one time I figured a ROE would satisfy. It did at first but after driving it for a summer it didnt anymore. It always seems we "want" more. :D

I would hate to spend this kinda money on these parts and after a while feel the same way as I did with the ROE. But I havent felt 750 hp in one of these trucks either so maybe it would be fine. It seems like any of the high hp guys say that 750-800 is the funnest range to set them too anyway.

Well put it this way, Dom has not been down the track on more than 800hp at this point and that is the record holding run.. He has not had the truck running or tuned propertly to run at his 1600hp, so that gives you an idea of what that type of power can do..

well to quote Stinker, if i may........

"any increase of horsepower is good for about 6 months"

LMAO:congrats::rock::congrats::burnout::rock::congrats:

or very close to that & its true its true:marchmellow::congrats::rock::burnout:

im doing heads and cam on my truck which should make it a beast for a huge TRUCK and after that im getting me a nice little car ;) I'm still keeping the truck though

I am well aware of this, which is part of the reason for my post. Its too bad the Pectal ECU is so much money. The traction control potential that it has is amazing from what I have heard. Hopefully someday Jack gets his red beast finished and Im sure he will beat Dom's ET by a fair bit.

What type of intake are they building for this, is it going to be sheet aluminum?

The intake is a gen4 modified, so gen 4 lower gen 3 upper
