IS this a crock of BS or what?

My brother owns a couple of AAMCO Transmission stores, " Heat and Friction " cause Tranny fluid to go brown. He said it may have been a bad build? a couple of galleries may have been blocked because they may not have a cooker to completely bake the old clutch out of the casing prior to rebuild. " I would certainly ask if they have one" either way she was slipping the whole time you towed by the sound of it? It sounds like your getting hosed?

What do the replacement lines run if you dont mind me asking? The ones without check valve.

To be quite honest I can't remember. Tony had them made for me awhile back and I had ordered them with some other stuff.

I've had the check valve removed for almost 2 years now so I know that's not the issue. The truck was not slipping while towing, it was pulling the trailer and the car effortlessly at about 75. The transmission still runs and shifts fine but the fluid was burnt. The owner dealt with me and said that it appears the oil was not cooling fast enough to keep up with the long haul. He said I may need to look at replacing the trans cooler because it may not be functioning perfectly. He changed the oil and filter made some band adjustments and it's running great again.
There is a rattling sound when I get on the gas past half throttle and I'm being told my cat may have exploded. It's a rattle/hiss sound. The transmission shifts pretty good in all speeds and gears.
Here's a pic of what I was towing...

That car may not weigh to much but those effin U-Haul trailers weigh a ton lol, Not that weight of towing was an issue IMHO

Well what the new lines also allowed me to do was reroute the tranny lines completely away from the motor and exhaust so that they would not be close to any radiating heat sources.

Good to know about the lines and that trailer you barely feel behind the truck. When it was unloaded I was doing almost 85 when I realized I still had a trailer back there. Trailer is about 1 ton, just over it.

My brother asked me to ask if you towed in overdrive when you pulled the trailer?
