i gave up.... &.. The VTCoA Brotherhood came to the rescue

WOT doesn't use the computer. The problem is when the curcuit is closed and the computer is trying to do it's job by sensor information. You are having a sensor performance problem. The map sensor needs to be a 2 bar To read boost. Check for melted wires to the O2 sensors.

Yes I have contacted chris. Problem is the cash. Its not that im being cheap im just sick of spening money with no results. I really rather have someone put there hands on the truck than just this email crap. I live in the middle of no where and to flat bed the truck to the dyno was crazy $$. As far as the sensors go. They are all new and read fine on the obd scanner I have cel or codes.

Would be kinda of a pain but what if you did the whole stock tune, injectors and such and drive it to Dyno/tuner and then put s/c stuff back on there and let him tune it that way no waste of money from second tuner. Just a thought even though its not a good one lol

That's not correct, on a Paxton you use a 1 bar and the ROE uses a 2bar, I have a 1 bar with my Paxton right now.

i thought about that. just might do it.

E how much you need? I dont mind trying to help

nah thats cool.

according to both tuners I needed the 2 bar. and you know whats crazy. the truck runs better at idle with the stock map sensor too.

Sounds to me like you need to drive the truck to Florida and get your truck on Torrie's dyno in Jax.

You know you'll always have a place to stay broski.

Sounds like it isn't scaled correctly on either the true injector size or the map sensor.

I'm running a 1 bar in mine right now, it's the stock map sensor, I had a 2 bar in it with the ROE and switched it back to the 1 bar, try driving it with the 1 bar map sensor in it and see what it does, mine is also tuned with the split second box and a SCT.

1 bar map is your stock map sensor. It's likely the tune isn't based on a boost map like a 2-3 bar. Ask your tuner but it makes sense why it runs better on stock map sensor :burnout:

they both told me the tune for a 2 bar map, not the 1 bar. when i told them the truck idle beter with the 1 bar they told me thats impossible

i give up.

Give it some more time E. You know i would have no problem following you down to the tuner, just incase of any issues. Lets figure this shit out and get that monster running proper. Is the dyno actually fixed now? Ill drive down wit u next week after work if you want.

Not sure if it's been said, but many ECUs at WOT have a bypass loop. This could be kicking-in your stock-ish tune at WOT, or at least, compensating for a POOR tune.

I agree with what others have said - If a tuner cannot produce a tune that works, they did not produce a tune. Period. Get a refund or slam that mother****er all over the forum.

That said, the ONLY person I would let touch my truck, were I to mod it, is a man named Tim Bailey.

I'm not sure if he still owns Surgeline Tuning, but he also worked for Cobb (a huge import tuner) whi is now in Austin, TX.

DO not give-up, and do not drive her hard until the tune matches the mods correctly.

*Are you using a stock MAF? How is the condition of the MAF sensor?

*Do you have an oiled air intake?

*PM me with your mod list, and I'll see if I can't dig-up Tim's number. He turned a lowly 2.5 liter Subaru of mine into a Porsche-eating beast. And my AFRs were always silky sweet, even with all my mods installed by myself.

IF A TUNER WON'T STAND BEHIND HIS TUNE(S) then F*** him!

There is no MAF sensor...

Like mentioned earlier sounds like something is not scaled properly. Really need to see what the MAP volts read and what the 02 sensors are doing.

log MAP KPA with the truck turned off/key on, and with it running at idle, try both sensors and post results.

yea, the dyno is fixed but I don't feel comfortable driving it that far on the tune that's in it now. unless you wana tow it with your truck again.
