Not sure what's up with these lifters? Kinda odd but not the first I've seen new ones fail unfortunately and if we did sustain internal damage none of the manufacturers would cover any repairs!! 
Had new timing belts and chains break for no other reason other than a defective part. Hopefully both of your cases nothing internal was harmed. I'd check both of your engines pushrod that was free floating on lifters and rubbing on block edge likely. Make sure they're still true. Rolling on a piece of glass is a great way to see. Good luck guys! Sorry I was out of pocket on here, was at a family reunion in Oklahoma mountains. Not much signal at all, but was able to walk Nick through his issue. Look forward to hearing about both beast breaking records:chain:

You'll see the pushrod seat/plunger not returned to top of lifter.

You may not see the lifter problem Red, its possible to just not hold pressure and collapse and not be as obvious as MoparVipers lifter. You should take a pushrod and plunge it into each lifter and see if you feel one with little resistance. Theres an internal check valve ball and spring that seems to cause issues in the occasional lifter that wont let it pump up. That'll be your lifter that's causing issues.

zero compression in the rear drive cylinder, removed the rocker and it passed leak down and compression. The lifter was stuck up holding the valve open. I had a large amount of air coming out of the passenger valve cover, because the driver hooks to the intake it sucked oil/ metal shavings into the intake.

Could you remove it? Wonder if its not a true round lifter casing or something? That or its not getting oiled?

Man after reading all these problems with these built motors makes me nervous thinking about doing mine. Hope you guys get it all worked out.
