Best drive-ability mod. for the money. If you had to rate mod.'s by like HP, traction, or ride, for the money the JTS Gen 2 is tops. It will feel like a new truck. Has adj. spring for tension too. Worth every dollar.

Well I'm sold on it,, added to the list..

    Made some progress this weekend.

I assume most of you guys are not very familiar with air ride trucks but typically speaking most guys don't put wheel wells back in because it's a LOT of work, even a basic tub job is a task. My last truck had a very basic tub but it still left a lot of room for water and debris to get into the compartment, and on that truck with a exposed air filter I didn't like driving it if I had to worry about it raining. So on this truck I'm trying to fix everything on my list of things I didn't like about the other truck.

Well in the process I decided to build basically two sets of inner fenders, the first one is a main splash shield for both water and things like rocks, etc etc, with that there I don't have to worry about denting my main inner wheel well as it will be finished inside the engine compartment, this also leaves me a space in between the two for running my wiring so that it won't be visible from inside the engine compartment, sure I won't be hiding all of my wiring but a big part of it will be hidden, along with the fuse box itself.

anyways, here's a few pics of the progress.

    I try!! LOL..

Anything I do for myself anymore has to be different..
Here is my other truck I'm building for myself, it took second stage for a little while though, while I build the SRT.

It's getting a Fuel Injected slant 6 with side draft throttle bodies, should be a little over 300hp and 400ft lb, not the typical motor you see somebody put in a street rod.

i was going to repaint my truck gomango. i regret that i went back to red... especially seeing as i ended up painting 90% of it anyways...

    but anyway... cool project...

i'm the asshole that cuts into a DZ302 camaro to put in minitubs and an LS6, so i have no problems with that!

I did a DZ one time for a guy, he had all of the original parts and was putting a big block in it and changed the color, the part that got me was that he re-badged it as a 302.. lol. Although I did the car over 5 years ago, the only thing he had to do was to put the new engine and trans back in it and it's still not finished.. BUT he does have a custom Garage that says Camaro all over it.. lol.

I forgot what the lower rear spring was for, but the upper is what they call a quarter elliptical, which is mostly going to be acting as a shackle in this case.
While on the front I will only have quarter ellipticals for springs.

You're going to hide it all, right?

As much as possible.. Pretty much everything you see here on top of the engine should be able to be hidden. I'm not going as far as completely hiding everything though... Such as the wiring harness that goes behind the engine from the factory..

Right now the one that has me stumped is the brake controller, not sure where to hide that just yet.

Also need to get/make new A/C lines, not sure about this one yet.. Thinking about using some aluminum tubing and tig welding it to the factory ends.

Check out Bad Snake's truck thread, he has a great idea on the brake controller. I believe he even has pics

Find a good local A/C shop that makes lines. If you make your own lines they can pressure test/leak check them for you to avoid any surprises.

Good local A/C shop.. lol.. That's funny.. I'm pretty sure I am going to have to figure it out and make my own, but figured I would check.

Does anybody in here know if I can turn the brake controller on it's side? I have a good hidden location I can put it and I won't have to do much wiring but I will have to mount it on it's side.. Not sure if that is ok or not. And being that I will be building things around it I really need to know for sure.. Anybody???
