Well guys, this has been one hell of a fun ride. Now is the time for my "Superbeast" to find a new home. It is as about as good as they come. Ready to go, with not a single issue. I'm not looking forward to seeing it go, however, my families needs and future come before this truck. As the add states, all the bolt on's are proven and all the stock parts are preserved and going with the truck. Even a few extra's to boot!

    Check it out here......

Thank you for the compliments guys. I love the truck and have taken pride in keeping it in "true to original" and "as clean and properly maintained as possible" condition. The mods were carefully chosen and work together as a complete package. They are also easily reversed if someone would care to make it 100% original. We all know that the 05' RC is the lightest, most reliable and best performing SRT-10 made in the 3 year span. Better brakes than an 04' and the 4:56 axle without the extra weight of an 06' or a quad cab.
With this mod package, it has surprised many people including friends and family. They make an already competent platform even that much better in handling, sound (Exhaust and Audio), shifting and overall acceleration, about a 1/2 second quicker in the 1/4 mile to be exact. All that without the headaches of headers, emissions and an exhaust so loud you cannot hear the glorious audio system. Or, lowered to the point that it will bounce, jounce and bump steer you into a ditch if you push it too hard. It ALWAYS gets compliments at the local Saturday night car show or from a random person who see's me get out of it and will approach just to say how nice or cool of a truck it is.
I hope it will find a home with an owner who feels the same way. I feel it is important to preserve these once in a lifetime trucks, especially now that the Viper will cease to be produced after the 2017 model year. :)

    Cheers Guys!

$35,900 for a truck with 40K miles on it? Good luck! I know book value on these trucks is not accurate in the real world but sadly banks are only going to lend around $15,000 on an SRT-10 with 40K on the clock. By the time you pay registration, taxes, shipping (more than likely) someone is going to need to dig an extra $25,000 out of pocket. Most people that have $25,000 lying around of purely disposable income are applying it to something a little more modern or "upgraded" from one of these trucks. You might be able to attract a collector but sadly most collectors are not looking for something with 40,000 miles on it. Sorry to be the Negative-Nelly....

Stealth.... Looks clear to me that you have not done your homework. An individual with good credit (If they need it) will get a loan up to 22-23K (KBB). My truck is in the top 3% in overall condition regardless of mileage. Mileage is relative. If these miles were put on in the rust belt, the chassis would be corroded. It's not a daily driver and the driveline has been properly maintained and driven regularly with thorough warm ups. Not kept in moth balls with moving components slowly rotting or becoming tight (like the brake calipers) with age. Even the tire's are fresh. I've changed them every few years, not because of wear, because this truck works best with fresh, soft rubber. (I easily sell my take off's for $125) My point is, less miles does not mean better condition. I have had comprehensive conversations with my local Viper Tech, Eddie Martin (the only tech who has touched the truck besides myself). Recent auctions of these trucks in conjunction with the END of the Viper is having a game changing impact on the real value of these trucks. 1 of 473 is on the rare end of the spectrum. Also, my truck has not been boogered up or modified with goofy, homemade mods. Some of my top shelf, proven mods are not even available for purchase any longer. (B&M shifter and BBK TB for example). All my stock parts are in excellent condition and stored away right down to the windshield wiper arms and blades. (Yes, mine are not on the truck, it never see's rain....PERIOD. LOL)
Collectors not interested? Eddie has had offers of up to 60K for his VCA, and he has significantly more miles than I do. Someone will want one of these trucks that is NOT some kind of headache from mechanical to emissions issues. My truck, IS that truck. A truck with Provenance to boot!

Perspective is what steers you to be a "Negative Nelly" :D

    Cheers!

35k is a bit of a stretch. I love all this speculation of Viper prices going up because production has ended. Prices on Vipers continue to slowly decline. The market is quite saturated with Vipers at the moment.

It's just silly to think the value of the Ram srt10 will also rise because of the end of Viper production.

Also I'm not sure what you mean about 05 being the most reliable year. The bearing angle was not changed until late production 05. A hand full of early production 05 Vipers received the updated bearings, the trucks did not. It's also been said that the first quarter 06s did not have the updated bearings. This has not been confirmed.

I will say, I have seen pics of your truck. It is a very nice example. I hope I'm wrong and you do get north of 30 for it..GLWS

Homework? It's called reality! As I just mentioned in another thread there was a 2005 RC, Black with 2,001 miles on it, basically a wrapper truck, it just sold for around $30,000. Look bud, I wish you all the luck in the world but you are likely not going to get close to what you are asking. This may sound outlandish but we can thank FCA for the massive overproduction of Hellcats, because of this many cars have declined in value. There are 2015 Hellcats with 10-15K miles that are now selling in the low $40K's and even some into the upper $30K's, these are NOT salvage cars either. When you have 707HP cars selling this cheap that are only 2 years old it takes the market down around them. This is affecting Camaro's, GT500's, Vipers, and yes SRT-10 Rams. Sad but true!

Stealth, com'on now, reality is that there are fewer and fewer of these trucks in good, clean, meticulously maintained and properly driven condition. What I mean by properly driven is... NO dry starts, warmed before rev'd and not OVER rev'd. The Shift light avoids slamming the limiter which is bad for the valve train. No goofy burnouts and heavy clutch dumps, no drag radials to stress the driveline to achieve a sub 1.9 second 60 ft. Here is a quote from "Mopar-or-no-car" in the recent "Looking to by -Mileage?" thread post #9...
(It's mostly based on how it was driven and taken care of for those 80k miles. They aren't cheap to maintain and all these broke ass kids that own more than half of these trucks don't take care of them. Not to mention most don't have a clue what they are doing when they work on, or mod them.. Steer clear of modded trucks unless you trust complete strangers to work on your shit..)
    Or "blazinsrt" in post #4...
(You can usually tell if a car has been cared for or beat if you look hard enough.. Carfax undercarriage and interior are good first steps.)

I honestly feel that regardless of your "mileage" argument or comparisons to CARS, my truck is the exception to the typical 20K-25K truck. And it's "Viper" Truck. As you stated, the overproduction of the Muscle sedans and cars hurts their values, not necessarily a rare, out of production specialty truck. Once again, "Mopar-or-no-car" makes the argument for me in the "Thinking of selling my girl" thread post #39...
(They sell all day in nice condition for 20k. Hell, look on autotrader you'll find quite a few. The worst thing is to let them sit. I'd rather buy one with 20k miles rather than zero. We all know better and steer clear of zero millage Vipers. You should hear some of the nightmares. The worst is when some foolish individual only puts 3k miles on in 10 years. Then someone buys said veichles and starts to put some miles on it...Then the problems start..)
Or your post #40 re; the unique condition an Arizona vehicle that has been garage kept can be in...
(I bought my 2008 coupe a year and a half ago with only 1,846 miles on it. It now has 5,600 on it. I went through the entire car, drained and replaced every fluid and have not had any issues. Heck I'm still on the original battery. I think this low mileage info is a bunch of bullshit as long as the car was stored properly. My car also came from Chandler, AZ so the hot dry air was likely not hindering anything. Clearly it was stored inside as well...)

The exception is, my truck has about 3k put on per year and less since I've owned it and I have kept ALL fluids fresh with regular changes in conjunction with the highest of quality products. The few modifications are of high value AND professionally or properly installed. The B&B exhaust was done by....B&B! The tune is Custom by Torrie for my truck and is spot on. Not a safe, canned tune typically found. You can thank the AEM wideband and data logging for that.
So, IS 35K a "bit of a stretch"?!?, as "Wifey" states in the "Thinking of selling my girl" thread, post #6...
(Stand firm! You can't always give it away!! I have an 04 with 5730 miles on it and I wouldn't sell it for less than 35k US!!)

What would a fair price for an exceptional truck be?!?

....and Mopar, I also hope you are wrong and I get north of 30K :D

I'll stand firm. I know that a good buyer who understands what he is looking for will see the overall value and the reliable condition that my particular truck is in and we will come to a deal that's a "win-win"

    Cheers Guys! and Gal...;)

I think a lot of people think their truck is worth more than it really is. 35k seems a little high when it blue books at what maybe 25k. Your truck is really clean and does look well taken care of but when someone see's the blue book value doubt they will pay more. You never know I bet someone will give you 35k just might take some time. I'm not trying to say your wrong or anything good luck with your sale.
