all 4 door speaker have stopped working on my truck ,, infinity system .. anybody have the fix for this ? Found this on the web ... no idea what the heck this guy is saying ... and audio gurus out there ?
Yes , all the rest works ,,, except sometimes it can take 10,15 minutes for the sound to start ,, other times it starts as soon as I turn the radio on ... I was getting a buzzing crackle noise from the speaker in the drivers door a few months ago .. now all the door speakers quit
So were you able to change out that relay? I too am now having this issue. and if so how easy was it to access. I was going to try and find this out so I can get that fixed.. might also see if this is covered by my extended warranty.
Something in the air lately???..as my speakers suddenly have a mind of themselves...one day they work fine..but then later that day..nothin'. It's all still factory setup..fuses look ok...maybe it's my choice of music???
Another thing might be the wires are broken in the harness from the body to the door ... seems to be a common problem with the dodges
I asked around and some others are saying it is specifically the infinite system. so might need to do more than the relay. I hope not cause I do not want to take the dash out.
I’m with you on that ... my next step will be checking for broken wires to the drivers door speaker , harness between the body and door ..
Yes ,l I found that out .. took the glove compartment door off to see it ... no freaking way it can be removed from there without ripping into the dash ... I saw 1 wire plug and everything looked fine ,,, I got my hand in far enough and could feel the amp and it was warm .. ... without being sure it’s the amp ,, I’m in no way tearing the dash apart and replacing it .. just to find out that isn’t the problem ... any idea if there is a easy way to bypass it without having to tear the dash out ?
Greeting, gents. New member, wanted to let you know that I had success with the dash amp by using a 1/4 inch wobble socket and removing the radio bezel. So basically Take the bezel off, it'll expose little angles for you to reach the backside of that amp and with the wobble socket, 30 minutes.
Thanks ,,, it may end up being a project in the near future ... I’m still not sure if it is the actual problem .. bit when I have more time I’ll be giving my diagnostic skills another try .. welcome aboard
